3 directors are to take a flight and there is 3 flight available. how many ways can you assign a flight.

The first director can be assigned to any of the 3 flights. The next director can get assigned to any of the 2 remaining flights. Then the final director's flight is determined.

Using the multiplication principle:

3 * 2 * 1 = 6 different assignments.

So this "multiplication principal" thing seems to have Power in it!

I see it being used here; and there.
