Eve Levine, half witch/half demon is dead and is trying to figure out a way to watch over her daughter Savannah in a more physical way. Savannah is being raised by Paige Winterbourne and Lucas Cortez from Industrial Magic and Dime Store Magic. the book was pretty good. It was a bit predictible in spots but i'm not sure if that's because of all the rampant discussion we had on Kelley's board about what might happen in this book or if it was because we combed every post that Kelley even mentioned Haunted in for clues. Either way it is still my 3rd favorite after Bitten and Stolen. I place it there because although I liked the story in Industrial Magic and Dime Store Magic i hate the character of Paige. She just got on my nerves. Elaina and Eve are both strong willed and stubborn and I like that. Hayley |

replied on: 9/15/2005 8:05:02 AM Eve, has been dead for 3 years, and trying to find a way to contact her daughter Savannah, when she's enrolled by the Fates to catch a Nix who escaped from hell. The Nix possesses people, and encourages them to kill, feeding on the choas and terror. The main plot follows Eve in her efforts to track down the Nix. With the help of her old lover Kristof and an young angel, Trsiel. Eve uses a lot of witch and demon magic in the ghost world to deal with unsavoury characters in her search for the Nix and eventually she has to make some hard choices to save her daughter. I didn’t find Eve's storyline as interesting as some of the other character's in this series. Fortunately she gets into a few scrapes which makes for interesting reading. |
