I've read them all. The first few several times. I've read the entire series at least 3 times each and my favorite books at least 10 times. I'm still enjoying them all though I feel that the last few have sacrificed plot for sex. I will get the next one when it comes out but, I reserve judgement on continuing reading the series if it continues to lose plot.

I sometimes feel in this series that the sex isnt integrated very well and that does spoil the plot lines a little.

Saying that I still enjoy the series and I think it's got a lot to do with being able to engage well with this authors writing style

I agree with zachaustlily: i really enjoyed the earlier books, especially the Laughing Corpse, but after Incubus Dreams.... *shudder*

Fave character: Damien, I think. Or Asher. I'm torn between them. Asher's such a sweet guy though he seemed so cruel first. Damien's the same, willing to do anything for Anita.

What's your fave book of the Anita Blake series?

my favourite character is Jean Claude He's got plenty of mystery about him that could bring up plenty of good storylines.

Has anyone read Micah. It's based on the wereleopard in this series?

Is it worth getting?

I've only read the first three books, and I have an omnibus of books 4-6 in my to be read pile. Anita is a great character, suprised they haven't made a movie about her yet.

Im surprised too, I would of thought these books would have enough interest to warrant a movie.

You'll have to post your thoughts on the books as you progress, a lot of readers views change as they go through the series

I am now on book eight of the series. So far I like the first ones better than the later ones. I think it is because the early ones have her solving supernatural crimes and doing her work related jobs. To me it seemed more interesting than all of the drama she is now involved with between the vampires and the werewolves.
