replied on: 7/20/2005 1:19:58 PM Thanks so much. I'm happy to discuss my books, whether you have read them yet or not. I write Epic Fantasy, if you are not aware of what I do, and though the tropes may be familiar to you, that is where my similarity ends with the books you might have already read. My background is a philosophical one. I taught ethics in another lifetime, and I want very much for my readers to think. I don't burden them with this desire though, so don't be afraid. I am now in the middle of the fifth book in the series, When Monsters Call Out The Names of Men, and with each book, the story gets more involved and more complicated. Yet, each book resolves in a satisfying way, despite the many and varied cliffs that my characters always seem to be hanging on to when the last page is written. I'll be glad to answer any and all questions, postive or negative, so don't hesitate to be blunt. I'm a strong guy. I can take it. Just give me a pat on the back once in a while, so I'm not tempted to let go of one of those cliffs myself. |
