Glad you were able to get them, Junflr!

No, I did not plan the length of the series when I began it. In fact, I thought when I started that it might end with the first book, but I became far too attached to my characters to let them off that easily.

I am now about 400 pages into book V and I am still not sure how long the series will be. It may end with this book. But then again, it may not.....

Ugg... I hope you are not serious about that.. its funny, this past weekend I was thinking about that as i was speaking with the the person at the help desk at B&N in my quest for the next book... remembering how I used to fiend over the Stephen King Gunslinger series.. that I picked up enons ago and has only finished now... imagining if i had to wait 10+ years to get through the story... Och! the horror!!! Hopefully the story will force its way out of you and we "the fans" will be the beneficiaries!!!

As for the story, i must admit i do need to re-read it again slowly this time.. i am a voracious reader and I flew thru all three books...despite that I appreciated the use of language and the high-mindedness of the story... I like the way you've knitted everything together in a way that keeps the reader yearning for more. So.. when will book Four hit the stands.. or will you wait until five is complete to release them at the same time???

Book four, The Revenge of the Elves, is being edited right now. Well, to be exact, I will start the final edit in a few weeks. The book has been finished for a while now. I'm not sure when it will be released though. That's not up to me, but I hope to be able to announce the date soon. It's still a ways off nevertheless, though it certainly won't wait until book V is done.

When I start a book I like, I too read so quickly that i need to re-read it again as well. But that's part of the fun for me. I devour it and I rush to the end. Then I regret that I've finished it so quickly and I pine for more.

Book IV, The Revenge of the Elves, will be released in April of 2007 according to my publisher. Pre-publication copies will go out in December of 2006.

Finally.

Now I have some work to do!

This new book of mine was just released. It's not fantasy, and it's not for adults. But I thought I'd share it with you anyway.

For those of you who have children in the third to sixth grade, or if you like children's mysteries, if you're interested in ordering my newest children's book, The Mystery of the Jubilee Emerald, it's now available from my publisher. Just call 1-800-242-3650, extension 16 to order. Or log on to http://www.mondopub.com/

I received my copies last night. It's really a very nice little book.

Bit hard to catch that broadcast over here *SIGH*

I finished your book last month Gary but yet to post a full review so sorry about that.

I plan to do so in the very near future. By way of a heads up I liked the book and found it to be an above average read. I also felt the writing improved in the latter 1/3 of the book and liked some of your ideas w.r.t your world and the philosophical apsects.

Glad to hear that. Each book gets stronger from a technical POV. The pitfalls of small press publishing include the absence of good editorial input. Book IV does not suffer from that at all. I had a brilliant editor and the result is very different. In addition, with each book, hopefully an author improves and learns. Though I do have to admit that some of the spontaniety and naivete of The Twins is sacrificed in thinking and re-thinking more often.

I'm anxious for you to read the rest, particulary the book that's coming out this December, The Revenge of the Elves.

Hopefully, we all grow as authors, the more we write. But a good editor gives any author a tremendous advantage.

The ideas that begin with the first book develop significantly as the series progresses. By book IV, the story and the conflicts are full blown. I wish that I could have maintained my optimism till the end, but unfortunately, the darker side emerged. There's always hope though.

Must be luck, Goll. This was the 1000th view on this forum!!
