No I haven't *Beats oneself religiously over the head* As someone who has read everything by Tad and almost everything by Raymond I've not got my hot little mits on these numbers other than through the orginal Legend anthology, which along with Legends 2 is one of the best short story anthologies of modern fantasy writers out there BTW!! Thanks for the info, I'll definitely be chasing this one up....... ![]()

replied on: 11/15/2005 5:37:07 PM As promised info on Woodboy The First Feist comic book is an adaption of Ray's short story "The Wood Boy" that was first published in the "Legends" collection of fantasy stories edited by Robert Silverberg. This comic is being produced by Dabel Brothers Productions (DB Pro) and published by Devil's Due publishing. Story Information: Dirk is a young teenager who wants nothing more than to learn a trade and settle down with a wife as he works on Lord Paul's estates. But once the invading Tsurani arrive and seize the estate and its servants, Dirk becomes little more than a slave, hauling wood for his alien captors and watching as those who try to stand up to the invaders are beaten and executed for their insolence. And yet, as Dirk becomes accustomed to his new life, he finds himself awake in a terrifying nightmare that will once again alter his future... and test the strength of his being. Publishing History - This is a US comic but will be available internationally through the usual comic book stores |

replied on: 10/4/2006 11:36:21 PM I've read only one book by him Magician:Apprentice. I didn't find the story or characters compelling enough to read the rest of the series, though it was an ok read. I may have to give him another try someday, maybe I would like one of his other series better. |

replied on: 10/5/2006 6:04:42 AM I keep forgetting Magician has been split into two books.Read the second part before deciding. If you don't like it then maybe Feist is not the author for you, as Magician is by far his best work.Although you may enjoy The Empire series co-written with Janny Wurts. |
