replied on: 7/21/2005 6:23:01 PM Impressive, Gary. I'll certainly look up the books in the local library. The titles are intriguing and your record's extremely impressive. What would you say was the most fun story to write? And what would you say was the best stage, from draft to finish? Tessadragon |

replied on: 7/21/2005 7:24:29 PM Do you mean which book was the most fun to write? The best stage? Hmmmm. In each book that I write I reach a point, sometimes midway through (though I don't know that I am midway through at the time) where I feel as if I have finished climbing up the mountain and now I am starting down the other side. It is always a slow and arduous trip up, as most steep ascents are, but the race down the other side is exhilirating! I love that race when it first begins, just as I climb over the peak. It takes my breath away. You may not find my books in your local library. They were just released in March of 2005 and I am published by an independent press. But if you ask them to purchase them for their shelves, the libraries usually comply. |

replied on: 7/21/2005 7:33:03 PM Thanks, Gary. I'll check the library anyway. You won't see my books in the library either, lol. It's interesting to see the journey of a book as climbing the mountain. It must be a lovely feeling! How do you deal with writer's block? Or have you evaded it? Tessadragon H J Gyselman |

replied on: 7/22/2005 12:46:29 AM Fortunately, I have not suffered from it yet. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I really restrict my writing time each day, so that each subsequent day I am chomping at the bit to get to my laptop. If I began every morning with nothing else to do but write, I imagine I would get frustrated frequently. I require both thinking time and writing time, and I like them to be in different venues. |

replied on: 7/25/2005 1:40:41 PM Amazon is a good place to buy it. If you are interested in signed copies, or if anyone is, Clarkesworld.com has a few. It seems that more and more people shop Amazon. They also began a promotion over the weekend linking The Twins to Olympos by Dan Simmons. If you buy them both you get an additional discount. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0380978946/qid=1122298685/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-1758416-9559139?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 |

replied on: 7/25/2005 7:29:51 PM They are also very author friendly. They make it easy to put content up and to correct content if you should have to. I think they are also very competitive in price as well. I still prefer Clarkesworld.com for the more unusual books. I like to support them if I can. It's important to have independent genre booksellers, and that site is the best IMHO. |
