I've just finished dune messiah, eyes of heisenberg and the godmakers and loved his brand of sci-fantasy. anyone else like or love his stuff? |

Only a handful of SF classics I've read to date.... ![]() Like you not a big SF fan as I don't like the technology aspect, it reminds me too much of our modern lives, which fantasy helps us escape from to a certain extent. |

replied on: 5/6/2006 11:49:57 PM I don't think I could have followed the first Dune movie without having read the book first. The miniseries had more time to explain and was easier to follow blind. I read the books in the late 1970s and thoroughly enjoyed them but if I remember right, I kinda let some of the more technical explanations go so that it wouldn't interrupt the flow of the story. There were a couple of spots where I had to go back and straighten myself out. I did read "the Eyes of Heisenberg" many years ago and I seem to remember enjoying it but I couldn't tell you what it was about. |
