After the death of one of the cast, his investigations unearth that Arra, special effects manager is actually a wizard. And that the shadows are sent from another world by the Shadowlord, to invade and destroy the world. Tony calls on the vampire, Henry for help and the trio try to fight the strange shadow creatures and save the world. Henry doesn’t play a big part in this story, as it’s very much focused on Tony. I didn’t find Tony that compelling or interesting a character to be able to lead the novelle. As a side story based on the Vicki Nelson series, it is OK. It is lifted by the strange shadow creatures and the threat of the Shadowlord, but other than that I didn’t feel it was one of my favourites.  |
