Im reading Imprint at present, a futuristic sci-fi book

Im not a big lover of Sci-Fi, but this is quite interesting and unusual.

I found these details on the Five Star Publishing site about the book -

"IMPRINT is an inspiring sci-fi love story. In a futuristic earth, with limited resources, Wyatt holds on to life through his memories of lost lovers and friends. It is Wyatt?s "more than necessary" determination to remember himself and those who are no longer a part of his world, but still constitute his life; who he was, who he is, yet most importantly, who he can be that make him a target of various power possessing beings. Wanted by those with power over life, death, status, information, and even the duration of a shower, Wyatt must traverse a world of violent sex, intrigue, casual murder, and mass destruction on his way to finding true love and fulfilling his personal destiny. Along this desperate journey, Wyatt meets Anna, who shows him the fulfillment of his destiny. Will he accept it and in doing so, her, or will he hold on to a past love?"

Rune,

Thanks for the kind thoughts & words, especially since SF is not your genre of choice. Actually, IMPRINT was only my 2nd venture into SF after 5 fantasy novels. None of those have sold yet, although two have languished for years on various editors' and agents' desks. LOL. And four of the five are a series. The joys of being a compulsive writer.

Only the best,

Hi Paul The reason I enjoyed your sci-fi book is because it didnt over load me with technology. Your plot concentrated on the character's and how they interacted with the futuristic world they lived in.
I prefer this approach to sci-fi as I find a lot of technical terms makes it difficult for me to get into the story

Good news. I just recieved a contract for the companion/sequel to IMPRINT tentatively entitled DREAMER. It is currently scheduled for a March 2008 publication.
