Long Hot Summoning - Tanya Huff
posted on: 4/30/2006 7:19:48 PM

In Long Hot Summoning the action takes place about 8 months after the Second Summoning. Diana is finally a fullblown Keeper and for her first Summoning she receives a difficult task. Asking for the help of her older sister and trying to stop all Hell from breaking loose, they battle giant bugs and meat-minds with the help of the mythical Arthur and his bunch of merry men and women :p

The third and for the the moment final book in the Keeper's Chronicles in my opinion is without doubt the best one yet. But why? A simple equation will show you the truth - 2x cat=2x the sardonic humour=2x the fun . Tanya's writing could even in some sense be compared to Erikson's if you bump down the scale and vocabulary, which in itself says alot about her style. Long Hot Summoning is a book that will not disappoint

"Tell me what it is or i will have my minion use it against you."
"It's a tampon."

Good to see your thought on this book. I really enjoyed the first too better than the 3rd in the series. I think it got a bit much with two cats
