I dont read many sci-fi books so not got that many favourites but here's mine so far -

1 - The Scar - China Mieville. I like his other books as part of this series, but this one stands out for me

2 - Imprint - Paul L Bates, a standalone and very good futuristic Sci-fi

3 - Wraeththu Omnibus by Storm Constantine - one of the most unusual Sci-fi series Ive read

Without using epic too loosely I doubt I've read ten. If it has an "epic" scope it should take some time to read. I would have to list "Dune" (including the original trilogy to give it epic scope).
The Foundation Trilogy by Asimov
Clarke's Rama series.
Phillip Jose Farmer's Riverworld series.
There are others and probably some that I read enough year's ago so that I can't remember them off the top of my head.

I don't read very much sci-fi, so my list is short, especially since it's epic.

Dune by Frank Herbert
Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov

It depends on how good your "suspension of disbelief" is. It was interestingly written. (I won't say well written because every time I do someone immediately says it's trash.) It was written in the 1950s based on stories written in the 1940's so some of the futuristic ideas didn't work out that way. But I thoroughly enjoyed them. And they're still in print after 54 years.
