What's that??? Plenty cold here = More reading time!.....

Picked up Jeff Vandermeer's Matserpiece Veniss Underground (incl. Veniss novella Blazac's War) plus The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl inspired by the engima that is Edgar Allan Poe's death.

Both form the bookshop that sits nestled just 30 meteres from my workplace. MUWHAHA!!..

bloody hell! it's been like 30 frigging degrees here for the last 3 days. And i have to work at those temperatures! sitting at home makes you even more sweaty than staying outside.

Well, atleast i'm getting 3 days off now, since tomorrow's a national holiday, when everyone in Estonia does a big fire, eats lots of grilled meat and drinks till the early hours.

Well my brother has managed to pass his classes so we have adopted a dog. He'll be coming home tomorrow at the earliest. I'm excited.

It's nice to meet other people who adopt dogs for less than ordinary reasons. I've got 4 now.

i can't help but feel tremendous empathy towards animals on the streets. When i was still young and naive, i planned on building a shelter for all the cats and dogs and i even started calculating how much it would cost. Ah, the innocence of youth...
(still planning on doing it, if i somehow manage to obtain enormous amounts of sweet special paper with numbers on them)

Two of mine are rescues, one was intercepted from a friend who would have had to take her to a shelter if we couldn't have taken her. The youngest is a pedigreed Shih Tzu. My wife gave her to me for Valentine's Day kinda to replace the Shih Tzu who we lost a couple of years before after I had had him for nearly 17 years. I think I have to obtain a breeder's licence to acquire any more where I live.

All my pets have been rescue animals, dont see the point to paying lots of money for an animal when so many need rehomed.

My dog came from a litter of puppies, that where going to be drowned. Why do people do those sort of thing? If you don't want your pet to have young then they should be neutered.

Our dog is probably really happy now because I think the shelter we rescued him from is the killing type. His name is Luke.
