I think you should have a look at some skull pics especially from the side and try and get a feel for the planes and the types of 3D shapes are there.
oh and with your shading- its always best to shade with the form, instead of one direction but shade as though u were going around a 3D shape- just like the top lips in this pic

some nice stuff up here... nar thats pretty sick... kinda looks a bit futuristic... yet still looks like it could be contructed... rod nice drawings... u use conte crayons on those? kinda look like it... the only thing is i am noticing u give most of your guys the same nose... not exactly the same one but they all look similiar... maybe its me...idk..

well here is another ex i did today... man i think this thread is helping me get better with muscles because i see my drawings on the computer and its helping me see whats wrong with them...

nice LOTR tree guy jdurden44, kinda small though... yet u can still make out most of the detail... i like it

just somthing i drew up as a warm up... the skull was more to get used to the head as a form... kinda loose and sketchy though...

nice expression bit, i do think however that you should spend some more time on your rendering and pushing the values to give it more depth, it has a bit of a rushed feel, but keep up the regular posts man!!!

got a mirror, did some hand studies...gonna do some more later...so good for learning
