replied on: 7/3/2008 9:39:11 PM Noeyes, looking really good. My only crit would be the position of her upper torso compared to her lower body. Might be just a tad off. Other than that it looks really clean Well I was at Target a little while ago so luckily I had my trusty Mini Sketch Pad so I decided to sketch something. Well this came out but think I could have done better. It took me about 15 min to do both....and I have no idea who the other guy is. As always, Enjoy People

replied on: 7/4/2008 6:22:46 PM Hey everyone, I was at IHOP earlier today and did this while we were waiting to be seated/ yeah it was packed but not too bad. After I finished I had a little more time to finish this in there. All in all it took me about 20 min or so. I am going to keep practicing on this size some more since I want to give sketch cards a crack. Enjoy People!!!  |

replied on: 7/12/2008 12:54:28 AM Here is a quick preliminary sketch for a painting that I have started (called "Taking a Breather"). It will feature Colossus and a less than mint condition Sentinel in the background (additional characters are a possible in a variant).  I sketch very messy and usually from the base anatomy up (with great deal of "do I want this line or this line?" all over the place). When I get a chance I will clean up the sketch and ink it in (for clarity's sake), as the painting is, of course, too big to fit in my scanner  .

In that initial sketch I suppose I going for that stoic stone-face type of expression (sort of a Russian stereotype that nothing phases him, even an exhausting Sentinel battle; a calm after the storm, if you will  ). I have acleaner version that I will post a bit later, but for now here is a quick B-Day present that I made for a friend (a character/portrait mash-up).
