Im no longer intimidated by the story's success but by how I put the pieces together. Ive managed to set the first half of issue 1 in place perfectly and satisfies all my needs for an issue 1 book. When you put a book together for the first time on your own, you should take it seriously enough to nurture that tale properly till its end. So Im just gonna pretend the world is waiting for this book and push it as far as I possibly can. And I will also pretend I dont give a crap what the world wants and push this thing out the way I want it to be. Thats tricky but normal. I've went over some of my ideas on this book with a small bunch of you whom i caught in an AOL chat. Since Im not a writer by trade, Im going to have to sit and meditate to bring out the right words to tell my story. Also.. Im going back in time for reference rather than just the new. Reading old books and checking reference materials to nail this project. I had to get back into my books of demonology and my one book of hell to refresh myself on all that is dark and in some cases, real. Its been inside me for a very long time. Ive had these strange and freaky images crash in my train of thoughts. Visuals of somone vomiting... so blue, so dark. Naked and wet...cold flesh and a horrible face to bare. A devils toy. But its everywhere. Its everywhere.. Its goes way back. Back to when I was a kid. So... Im not telling a typical comic book story. And Im not telling a horror story. But I am telling a story about the ball of life. The ball that contains everything in it. But Im choosing to take the dark path. Not the "i wanna be cool so im gonna do it dark" path, but the realistic darkness. Is it because I love the dark? No. Its because its the only way you will all recognize light when I show it to you. Sigh... ok, so I do however, want this to be very cool. And the visuals will show the most expression my work has ever had. But I will try to mix in that style that allows you to bridge back into your homes for when you want to leave the mythology and come back later. Im wondering if this makes any sense to you guys. Love, is a wonderful thing... but I hate it. And deep inside me, although not now.. I think that I may see it differently. I hope this book will help me break out of my darkened mold. Im in a very serious state of mind right now and I know that it will be a chilling mission to get myself back into that darker state I was when I first put this story together back in my high school years. It was never a problem then since I had no friends around me everyday. But its different now. I'll do this because its important to me, and because I only want to put it out by my true hands. This will be interesting and im happy to know you guys are behind me watching. |

replied on: 7/13/2006 1:10:33 AM As a few of you would know, I did not quit this project of mine, but once again pushed it even further down production. The reason why, some really cool opportunities rose that I felt would help out with my project in the long run. So far, things are going swiftly as planned so stay tuned.

replied on: 9/10/2006 12:48:53 PM This story is very difficult in the sense that everytime i work on it, I get depressed. But it will be finished. Im hoping this will be my greatest achievment of all time. Thats why its taking forever. I want it done right. Not for the sake of getting famous. But to successfully remind the world of who we truely are under the veil of lies and trivial social being. Heres a pic i decided to share with you today. Its one of many cover ideas I have in my sketch book. Ive some sequentials layouts ready as well.  This is not going to be easy. But it will be worth every bit of effort in my life. |

See, for the most part yeah we all are artists and we all have ideas, and yes we al try our best to portray them. but you dude, have the talent to make others see what you have in mind the way you have it in mind and that is priceless. I know your schedule must be hectic, but whatever chance you get to work on this, go ahead and further it more, because it will be something amazing. Rock on bro

replied on: 10/23/2006 3:44:32 AM Starting this first issue is scary, guys. I finally laid out the first 3 pages. I wanted ask for your opinions about my very first cover art, out of curiosity. Since its the very first "official" issue, I'm wondering wether I should show the main character on the front cover, or something more subtle but cool that doesn't show his face. Its a tough decision because since Im an unknown artist, I felt that subtlelty would probably not work to the best of my book's benefit as a first issue. But then, I also wanted to keep the character's face concealed until you crack the comic open within the 2nd or 3rd page. .... Unless... if i can come up with something in between.... hmmm.. Damn first issues. Look what its doing to my head -->
