replied on: 1/17/2007 11:19:18 AM PS2 is now about 110 bucks. If I had my own TV, I'd consider it (since all the good RPG's went to PS and PS2). The 360 controllers work on PC's too. I've been thinking of getting one for my comp. As for the ps3 rumble issue, it was a patent issue. I forget the maker, but they said Sony infringed on their patent (or thought the agreement would last from the PS2 through the PS3, which was wrong apparently), so Sony, rather than pay another patent/licensing fee, decided to leave it out (and instead put in that "Six Degrees" feature or whatever they're calling it. Basically, the motion sensitive similar to the Wii, which Sony drew some ire for as well). |

replied on: 1/23/2007 6:42:28 PM Yeah, the internal vibrating mechanism. I never liked it anyway. It wasn't cool really unless you were playing a first person shooter or something, otherwise the thing would just shake when something happens in the game, but it didn't have a feel to it like you were experiencing something first hand. The gyroscope thing in the ps3 is kinda cool, but I've only got to check it out on one game so far. I think it will be a lot cooler in flight games, and stuff like that where you catch yourself moving the controller around while you play. First person shooters might be kind of cool eventually as well, where you'll be able to just angle the controller in the direction you want to angle the gun. |

replied on: 1/23/2007 9:10:02 PM I don't know, I consider the Wii for little kids. They have those fisher price looking sports games, and that just doesn't do it for me. If I'm not mistaken, which I certainly may be, I believe the Wii uses some technology where you move the controller around, and some sort of sensors detect the movement. Sony's controller you don't move around, you just angle it in the appropriate direction and the game reacts accordingly. But if you don't like the feature you can turn it off in the game and go back to the traditional controls. Or at least that's how I've seen it thus far. plus I saw where the Wii is using some sort of infrared signal or something, the Sony is using blue tooth. In fact just yesterday I turned on my PS from an entirely different part of the house than the room it is in. Does it make game play any better? No, but it certainly does amuse a lazy ass like myself.

They allowed a few here and there but not much. And thats why, my good friends, Nintendo is at the bottom of the ranks right now. Even with Southpark show trying to advertise the Wii (from an insider deal no less with Nintendo) it stills falls short. The only thing the Nintendo Wii has for it is the low price tag. That innovative crap sucks to me. I tried it, felt like a damned fool, and the graphics arent that great at all. Even the new Zelda game doesnt look as sharp as youd think it would on a new console. But then again, Nintendo made the stupid decision to not go for better graphics but instead, swinging your control around to play a game. The only time I want to swing my controller around is when Im super pissed and want to break the son of a biatch. But thats just me. Hail Mortal Kombat! |

(although that rock minotaur near the end of video 4 would PISS ME OFF! He throws rocks that change direction automatically to hit you. I always hated that crap). |

The sequel just looks too amazing for words, superior graphics and improved gameplay. This is going to be perfect. Best of all it was only twenty bucks lol One of the greatest games I have ever played and its only 20 bucks wow. |

Theyre also having a small Gamestop Event featuring some of the creators of God Of War. No no... actually, their representatives. I just remembered. I wish I could go, but I get out of work late.
