replied on: 9/26/2007 3:15:59 PM Yeah thats a great book and I love the way that the colorist compliments romitas style. My only complaint about is although the story is extremly enjoyable and fun dont u think the hulk beats the super heroes waaaaay too easily. I know hes stronger than ever but the other heroes are pretty tough too. |

replied on: 9/27/2007 8:05:54 PM well first time i saw him was for marvel Zombies at least the Ultimate Fantastic four version of him i didnt know much about him to be honest with you and when i first saw him i thought marvel was trying to introduce its own version of superman i didnt find out until recently that he was a friend to Bruce banner and that he is one of the older marvel characters i think world War Hulk will be the first time i will actually get to see him in action. but the story arc you mentioned seems interesting and i might check it out

replied on: 10/11/2007 3:28:02 PM i think Romita jr is ok man, i dont like his drawings per say, but i do love the dynamism and big blockbuster movie feel he gives to each of his panels his faces and figure drawings arent very interesting for me, but damn he can draw a spectacular fight when i saw Black bolt whisper "Enough" that was amazing then Later on Hulk taking n Iron man in full hulk buster Armor i thought it was bad ass too for this book my preference would have been to see one of the kubert brothers but its all good Romita is doing a awesome job with its storytelling. |

replied on: 10/13/2007 10:37:34 AM Have you seen his earlier work on Hulk that was pretty incredible (no pun intended) there was one scene in it where the hulk got really pissed off and was throwing cars and knocked over a building. It was kind of weird that it was done in a more realistic style but it was freakin amazing. Another one of his works I really liked was Daredevil (i think it was called year one or sumthin it was written by Frank Miller) and JRJR payed homage to Miller's style and the lines had some really interesting effects. I also really digged his work on the Eternals especially the way he depicted the Celestials which truly felt larger than life. I understand peoples crits on him the faces arent always particuarly interesting but if yoou want to see a style thats fun and dynamic and cinematic all at once I think hes the man for that. |

Romita's old hulk books were pretty cool i have some still
