Ok, i did some research on the other products.
Heres a small review and I'll add more if I find them.

This one is for the "Genious Pen and Mouse" brand Genious Review 1

Genious Review 2 (read this one specifically)

I'd stay away from the Genious brand. Something about having to change batteries in the pen and mouse, turns my stomache.
Overall, the genious seems to be a bad choice for top professional uses. You need and deserve something much better, Nir.

Heres a review of a Trust brand tablet.
Trust Tablet

Go with the Wacom Graphire. Smackcakes says Graphires works just as good as Intuos.

thanks Smack...i'm gonna go now to check that...

ibeenthere don't take Genius...definitely no, Genius are not that good products, they're pretty average, and if you want professional tablet that's not Genius, i wouldn't take that...so Wacom man...

I think its great to see more of us here get on the digital art saddle.

I remember a while back when Artsta got his, he was so happy with it, but I just couldnt understand drawing on a tablet instead of paper. But, just when I finally got to try it myself first hand, no pun, I fell in love with it.

I knew I had to have one. I was told at the seminar the Wacom brands were the best to go with. The technology is just far out compared to others.

Wacom!

And for the filthy rich,
Cintiq!

9X12CM centimeters? Man..that probably is smaller than I like to recommend. Its like 4x5inches. Wacom's smallest model to date, I believe.

I would recommend atleast a 6x8 inches for you. Damn... I wish I could help you get one. Ebay lists them for 200.00 USDs.

Doesnt matter though.. I know theyre a little expensive, but trust me, they are worth it.
My recommendations, always look into Wacom brands, and if you find a model you like after you do some research on specs, buy one thats atleast 6x8.

Thats the size of mine and its perfect for me. My hand doesnt have to travel so far to open, close and use commands.
Large enough to get the job done too.

Don't rush on these either. Wait till you find a good listed price or save more money so you can get yourself a good one.

thanks.
after reading the reviews (and an advice my older brother told me about reviews) i am leaning to get the trust...according to it's stats it's suppose to be almost equel to the intous, and it's from a store, meaning brand new and with 3 years garentee!
and only for about 131$
one thing my brother told me, is that after paying to taxes for shiping the any of the wacom tablet i found on ebay to israel the price will be much higher then i should spend on a second hand tablet with no garentee... when i can buy the trust tablet which even in the reviews had a nice review overall, with garentee and much cheaper... if i see i really really like it and i want to advance to something better...i can always buy one in japan next year when i fly there lol

so i pretty much think i'll get me the trust...

You know what? I think Smackcakes has one that small for his laptop. He posted a pic of it in the studio thread.

Maybe we should ask him about the size. Who knows. Its probably good too.

naa...his is still bigger then the 9x12.7 cm...i can see it in comparison t his laptop...
i'll go with the trust one, it's not wacom...but i am no professional digital artist! lol
all i need it is for coloring and fixing small stuff after inking... it should do the trick...and like i said, if i get better and decide it's time to move into the big boys playground...i'll get me a good wacom tablet next time i'm abroad or through someone i know who's abroad...
thanks for all your help!

No Nar is right, my little tablet is a Graphire2 and it's 4 x 6. (remember the active drawing area is only the square in the middle) I guarantee the tablet you are talking about won't be any smaller than this simply because Wacom don't make anything smaller than this.

If you think A6 is going to be frustratingly small to use, then you'd be wrong. Digital painting isn't like real painting, you can zoom in and out and pan around. So your hand doesn't have to move much. Effectively so long as you have enough room to comfortably sign your name you have enough room. And don't worry about accidentally going over the edges, the tablet is mapped to your screen so that would be a very unnatural thing to do. If you just trace a circle round the middle of your screen now with your cursor, you should see that your mouse doesn't need to move much, even if you make the circle large.

To be brutally honest, you should really think about what you need. You can draw and paint and digitise your work quite happily on an A6 Graphire, and you can pick up an older one like mine for something like $40. I use mine at work and I used to use it at college and I don't feel hindered by it at all.

It's like I said about the pencils. A better tablet isn't going to make you a better artist. You might decided later that you wanna get really serious and move up to an A5 tablet, but you should think hard about it before you go spending loads of money, especially if you are on a budget.

As far as the Trust goes it's hard to say because I've never used it. I have a friend who has an Aiptek tablet and he complains a lot about the cursor jumping while he's using it. this seems to be an issue with a lot of the cheaper brands.

I found this review HERE which suggests it may also be a problem with the Trust too. but you never know he might have just got a dodgy one. Wacom tablets are very popular and seem to be very reliable, I've had mine for about 7 years and never had any issues with it.

I guess if you don't mind taking a risk you might end up with a very good tablet for your money. The Trust certainly looks good on paper, but I do tend to find most things which are cheap, are cheap for a reason. I'd be interested to see if it really is as good as they make out.

EDIT:

Also I found THIS topic on CGTalk about the Wacom Bamboo, which you might want to check out. Most people there also seem to agree that the Graphire4 being good value (Graphire2 is the same btw, just not as stylish looking) but the bamboo also looks interesting if you are looking for an A5-A6 tablet.

thanks for your help smack!
the thing is, a4 trust is cheaper the the a6 grephire! lol
probeblly becuase of the quality...
the thing is, i masured how large the work space is in the a6, it's really small...but you say it should be fine? god i dont know!
i mean the trust could very well end up good...damn it! lol

*edit*

after checking the bamboo, i'll go with that!
it's bigger then the grephire i found, but cheaper. it's not as big as the trust, but it'll probebly be better in quality. and it's design is beutifall and seems comfortable.
so bamboo for me

Err...

Well I dunno if I want to be held responsible if you don't like it lol. but if you just want it for colouring and retouching like you said, and you don't want to spend too much. Then I think A6 should be more than adequate. And you can even draw with it too ^^

I have to admit the bamboo does look very sleek. I think it's widescreen as well which would suit my laptops as they are both widescreen...

*must resist urge to buy ><*

Ok so I let 3 pages go by before I actually responded to this thread....yeah I know, I m a bad NARnian!!!!! I just wanted to add that I too have an intous that is 6x8 and I have to tell you that it helps a butt load on photoshop. I was lucky cause a friend of mine bought a G4 with a big ass monitor, big ass printer and of course the tablet all for a low price of $250. Yep that's right. This lady was retired and did not need the system anymore so she sold it to the first person to show up at her door. We were first. Anywho, My friend sold it to me for $200 after he got his new Imac. *music coming on in the background* So a spot for tablet users would be a great idea NAR, Im sure we'll see some * Music getting louder* cool stuff. I just want to say thank you to everyone that has supported me. My wife, my kids, also everyone at NCU for supp.......................
