Its a zombie dude. Comments and crits are welcome!   What I have now took me around an hour and a half and Im going to keep updating this thread as I progress. Hope you guys enjoy.  UPDATE: Okay after a couple more hours well spent (I needed something to do while Im home sick today) I updated this scary dude and I think its starting to look pretty damn good. I still have ways to go on this piece hes going to have textures and blood and colors but one step at a time.  Special thanks to Smacks for all of his helpful advice the pen really does feel more comfortable working small at a lower opacity thanks man! I cant wait to try out the blending techniques you suggested.  |

Ive just been working off of the preset brushes switching from a 3 and a 5 sized brush at different opacities which now that you point it at i should get some brushes that look more painterly or something or set them to look differently. replied on: 12/1/2007 7:52:05 PM Yeah what Nar is saying. It makes a big difference.  Now it's hard to tell, but i think the blood squirting out his arm looks more like the second example. Shape Dynamics should be switched on by default. If it's not working you may need to go to the Wacom site and get the latest drivers. |

replied on: 12/1/2007 9:06:28 PM Well it is switched on but I think it looks like the second example for some reason. Another reason for this is I havent gone into detail at all on the blood yet its just there for now so I know that theres going to be blood there later. The blood thats there took literally 5 seconds so its not meant to look as complete as everything else just yet. Although its still kinda odd how it looks like that when the rest really doesnt. Hmmm.  Sick shape dynamics is just another name for porno! Looks Ill be doing a little photo shop for a while I mean...cry myself asleep, uhmmmm... PORNO!

Thanks for your input this has been one helluva experience so far and even tho Im not 100% comfortable with my wacom I am in love with it Ive done digital before with a mouse but it hasnt been this good. |

The support from this board is why the art is at the quality it is (which i didnt even think i was capable of.) It was originally meant to be a sketch to learn how to use the wacom but the response generated inspired me to kick my work up a notch. Artsa: Glad you like it bro. I usually use a 3 pixel brush while Im working on this I also use a 5 pixel brush for just getting the shadows down before going into detail. That way I can have more variation in the lines. Badapple: Glad you like the progression. Ive been meaning to post a thread that tracks my work in progress and with digital its a lot easier to show the progression. I cant wait to see what you come up with man! Photoshops a great program and you already have plenty of art skills thatll make learning photoshop much easier!  I can't wait to finish this because afterwards I have a lot planned to do all digitally including my santa pic! Which I got some killer ideas for. And a few other ideas instore, but youll have to wait and see. Thank you all for the feed back guys glad youre all digging it.
