replied on: 3/12/2008 6:35:47 AM I've been reading the new X-Force and like it so far. X-23 is the team badass and it's funny to see Wolverine in the leadership role being the voice of reason. This series is the best x-series to follow Messiah Complex IMHO. The art rocks! |

replied on: 3/12/2008 2:09:49 PM Hmmm.. ok. Im sold. I will buy this series in hopes to take the bad taste in my mouth left by the Ultimates Joe Mad worked on. Bad ass art but surprisingly a waste of reading material.  I think it took me like 2 minutes or less to read it all in one sitting.Still, the last comic series I actually enjoyed was the World War Hulk tales. I believe there was some emotion involved in that one. X-men, Messiah Complex was ok. Just ok. Nothing amazing although Marc's work on a Marvel book is never a bad thing for me. |

replied on: 3/12/2008 3:18:47 PM god man Ultimates 3 with joe mad is getting worse... and it really makes me feel bad because i really loved that book until this new team came on, Mad's art is amazing but thats about it and the only reason why i would buy it Messiah complex had amazing art as well the story was pretty good, a little predictable but still good right now i am reading a comic book called "DMZ: on the ground" it was a 9 dollar paperback i bought published by vertigo it is honestly one of the most interesting reads i have had in a while. it is about a fictional modern day civil war in the US where the island of Manhattan is cut off in a battle between New York insurgents and the U.S. military, lots of urban warfare and gruesome action, perhaps a bit of a social commentary as well in this one. just something interesting to read and enjoy the art of. |

replied on: 5/11/2008 12:53:26 AM Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Cyclops is going to turn out to be one of the Skrulls, though. X-force is a perfect example of this. In Young X-men he was sending the youngest X-men to hunt down and KILL the former New Mutants (even the ones that have been de-powered). Now you have X-force... All I can say is, poor X-23. She goes from doing a pimp's dirty work in NYC to being a glorified mutant hitman...'er hitgirl... I do like the book, though. We'll see how long THIS incarnation of X-force lasts, yeah? |

replied on: 6/8/2008 8:02:06 AM I haven't read anything since Civil War. I pretty much lost my drive to read the original Marvel U. Haven't read anything from the Ultimate U either. We just got a new comic book shop here. I plan on going to check it out. Its kind of like starbucks but with comics. could be good could be bad. This X-23 character is extremely popular, huh? Haven't read anything on her yet. I was never a big fan of X-force to begin with. I shall check em out when I hit up the shop. |
