Yesterday was my first class and we started to play around with it....it's called 3D Max Studios. I gotta say that I am as excited as I have ever been. Today I had to stay on campus to get my homework done cause it's only a PC based program. Let me tell you that I can spend all day on it!!!! Well yes Im just rambling but with good reason. I am finally doing it, working on it, and man...wow.....YES PEOPLE Im psyched!!!!! Ok.....so I just wanted to show you what I worked on and hope to have more images and perhaps if I can get down a little better...a video!! Our assignment was to create some sort of object that is recognizable with only geometrical shapes. I just want to apologize for being overly excited but I also hope you understand that it means a lot to me that I am pursing a life long dream. As always, Enjoy People!!

But hell man, I wouldnt be able to comprehend that program in time to do something with it. My buddy took a 3d studio class and it took him not that long to get it down to the point where he managed to get real sweet jobs in the movie and media industry. Commercials and stuff. Good money too. Congrats man. That type of experience is just great.

Mainly just for simple modelling. Stuff like these. I made these for a short animated film. It was largely a stop frame animation using Lego. But certain scenes with the ships flying and stuff weren't really possible with stop frame so I made these CG ships in Max to fill in. It's a pretty complicated piece of software though. I still feel like I've only really scratched the surface. But then I've never really tried that hard with it. There is a lot of work out there for 3D artists, but it's never something that really appealed to me. I prefer 2D.
