He brought it up because I drew one of the characters from that storyline in my women of marvel set... so I had a look on amazon and responded to Surf with a question... here it is in the comic thread, cause I figured yall might have some thoughts on what I should get... Dude, I havent bought books in like a month... so I guess I "deserve" another couple for... "work" heehee I checked on amazon.ca and I just wanna run these by you to make sure it's the right books: When looking at those, it also suggested NOVA volume 1 and the cover is really sweet. Just wondering if you think its worth a look: Also, I've been meaning to buy Weapon X (still havent read it) and Wolverine Origin. Shine your wisdom on me boy! Where should my money go first!! Cause I obviously can't buy em all. The Anihilation books alone would cost me about 50$. Keep in mind, I love good stories, but if the artwork is terrible, I dont want it in my collection. I've been told time and time again that weapon x is a must have... but what do you say?? What should I get. I'm thinking 3 books in total.

Quote \| Reply \|	help me choose three books... replied on: 4/22/2008 5:15:50 PM I think book 3 covers the main event therefore I think thats the only one really worth getting also it covers the cleanup which is a good bonus. Books one and two help you understand everything a little more but its pretty much summed up in a page of annihilation. I happen to love Nova as a series its one of my favorite marvel books being published Im not sure if the first volume is anygood though I jumped on the 2cnd story. It may be worth getting but Im not sure. THe stories theyve been coming up with in that book are gold though there were zombies and russian telepathic dogs named cosmo (he has insane powers) and the artists tends to switch a lot but every artist used is extremely well suited for the particular story being drawn. I actually dont think Ive read weapon x but I didnt enjoy Origin the art is beautiful in it I think but I didnt enjoy the story it didnt really feel like a wolverine story and was kinda boring. Besides I dont like being given an answer for Wolverines origin I always thought it was fun to guess and come up with ideas though that just may be me. Because nothing really does justice when compared to what you think started it all like when you read a book and you get extremly let down by how they adapted it into a movie. And ijust kinda found the story to be boring not a lot of slicing and dicing for a wolverine tale. I def think Annihilation book 3 is the best outta the bunch then Id probably go Weapon X and then probably Nova which is single handily bringing back cosmic marvel stories (although Im told that first volume mostly takes place on Earth)
phantro Sheperd of the NCU Wolves Quote \| Reply \|	help me choose three books... replied on: 4/23/2008 4:16:52 PM personally i did not like Origin i mean it is a good story however i liked wolverine as a mystery, now that we know most everything about the character it is not the same to me. it is tom sawyer meets wolverine, if you dig that combination then sure go for that Annihilation was kick ass, all 3 books had an awesome story and bad ass covers, the interior art though to me is not as great, i bought them mainly for the story, although some pages look damn epic. The art itself was not my cup of Joe. Nova and the recent Annihilation: conquest books have better art i think with Tom Rayney I believe and some were made by Wellinton Alves (one of them at least was doing that Xmen Emperor Vulcan series which had kick ass art especially how he drew Warpath on those books)
