replied on: 5/12/2008 6:38:48 AM Sho, it seems like you have a good idea of where everything goes but can use a little bit of construction before dressing up your characters. Also, if you get your perspective down a little better that will fix the placement of your characters. There are plenty of material out there that you can work off of. I can show you what I am talking about to the best of my knowledge. With your permission I can draw draw over your entry to show you.

replied on: 5/12/2008 11:31:34 AM yeah, let me say you do have a good idea as badapple said, but you're having the gumby effect. and it's okay, i did at one time too as i'm sure all artists do when they first start out. you're not using a frame it doesn't appear, build up the stick figure first. flesh out the bone structure. then move on to higher advanced details, the idea is to achieve a 3d effect. you already detail nicely, now ya just gotta get the underlying before toss in those details. |

replied on: 5/13/2008 9:32:41 PM Sho, most if not all books on bone structure are good. You just have to know what and how each bone attaches and moves. Where the muscle and tendons connect. Believe it or not, I have learned all of this in school and personally found that it's easier if someone who is knowledgeable in this area explains it to you. But that is just me. Maybe you'll be able to pick it up without having someone explain it to you. By the way, don't think that I forgot about your drawing. I'll get to it really soon
