Need For Speed Most Wanted

Ok, so I finally repaired my game for PS2... Now I own 2 copies. 1 on PS2 and one on GC.

Which is better? To be honest, the PS2 copy looks sharper and sounds better. Oh and not to mention that Im much more comfortable using the PS2 controller over the obscure GC controller, any day.

I have to say, I'm really loving this game so far. It's not that different from Rockstar's superior racer, Midnight Club Street Racer 3 DUB Edition.

The car controlling mechanics are alright. They remind me of Grand Turismo. And that goes for speed simulation as well. Midnight Club totally tears it apart in that area though since the speed simulation in MC is far faster and ridiculously more fun.

However, Need For Speed:MW allows you to feel like youre realistically racing through the streets in an all out street race war in which cops patrol and chase you just like the speed chases you see on the news. Some can last for more than 20 minutes if you can't shake em off!

And thats what soooo happening with this game. The cop speed chases. The music is bumping, your car is growling with actual realistic motor and exhaust sounds (better than Midnight CLub) that sound just like the ones heard in the Fast and the Furious movie.

Youre supposed to beat 15 top street racers to reclaim your car which was taken from you at the beginning and bump off every bully racer out there who's been pestering you since day one.

Nice video scenarios and pretty good acting too (for video games).

I didnt have much time to play because of work but I did take out 5 racers so far and im loving every minute of it.
You get to own as many licensed vehicles as you can afford and either keep them stock or modify them to look like the rice rockets you saw in Fast and the Furious.

Good stuff. So far.
I'll patch up my review when I beat the game.
For me, the ending is very important as well.

The Game Cube game isnt noticeably watered down, but I can tell small details have been compressed here and there to fit the mini disc technology. But if I didnt have the PS2, this would be the one I'd be talking about.
Except, I definitely wasn't too thrilled that EA didnt allow for gamers to map their own controls and am forced to play out their mappings on such an obscure controller.

I remember how rocking this game was I didnt personally own it but one of buddies had it and it was such a sick game! The cop chases were amazing and it was just a helluva lot of fun. I have a hard time getting into racing games but this one was sick.

Its definitely a great fantasy racer game. I took advantage of my speaker set up and blasted it. Especially during the speed chases, it sounded so real and it really helped immerse you in the situation.

i'm not a fan of race games, mean this kind of race games, but NFS Most Wanted was the best of all NFSs if you ask me!
ever played Burnout? i know it's lil bit crappy game, and not that "stylish" but i found it great for the nerves blow off! making touchdowns was awesome!

well i enjoy most playing F1! of course Grand Turismo is number 1 in race games but i really like the sound and the speed of F1 better!

The thing about MW I liked so much....was how you actually felt like your in a movie. the slowing down time. the cut scenes when you bash into crap. awesome game. If you like this game def pick up carbon.

I only got to the 6th blacklist. It got too hard and I had to put it to rest because of work. Damn cops kept busting me.
