I didnt want to see it but i just couldnt handl not seeing it and once i did i became a huge hulk fan....Just check it out Click Here After watch that i wanted to see the hulk 10 times more. They did what i was hoping they did, the CGI looks wodnerful because they are not so close to him. Not only that but it flows so now im happy with the CGI. I dont know but this just got truly exciting for me lol, i want to see it badly now. Along with that the best scene is when the soldier jumps over him and its all slow motion and it shows how big and tuff he really is. BTW They officaly announced that IronMan will indeed be making an appearence in this movie. They said one scene Norton will meet Downey in the bar and Downey says "i hear you got some problems" and from there they carry on a conversation, i just wonder if there will be more like a peek at ironman in the background? Dont know but this is exciting to me big time, you dont know how long ive been waiting for batman begins to cross over into superman and this is just as good. |

Hulk spoils, 3 new scenes!!!!
replied on: 5/24/2008 3:59:56 PM i like what i saw but, i dont like what they are doing with that soldier dude, sopnky or whatevery his name is. Ive seen free runners and that can do crazy things but, come on seriously. Walking up to hulk and using him as a ramp, never would happen....that cut seen with him fighting hulk is stupid..... just read the other thread where mark explains. K, that explains the super jumping and what not but still, think of this scenario: If a normal man being hulks size were to kick you in the chest, wouldn't you die. Even normal sized people kick somebody in the chest and have killed them from the force. Hulk is not just big, he has VAST super human strength. That soldier is a normal sized man, now treated somewhat...but is still normal size and nowhere near the strength of hulk. Now, shouldnt he either be killed or put into a coma for a very long time from the kick. Also, i know we can go back and say, but he did this in the comics, he did that in the comics, but the comics frustrate me at times. The only true justice to real physics i have truly seen is in Spiderman comics and in the Ultimate Hulk comic where he rips wolverine in half. Wolverine has antimantium bones and is a good fighter due to his training. Wolverine wouldnt last a second against hulk if it were a real thing.......awwww, forget it, its pointless. I just get really into it is all, |

Hulk spoils, 3 new scenes!!!!
replied on: 5/24/2008 8:27:49 PM but but they did it in the comics... I know but they give him the super power of his experiement that makes him last, plus doesnt he turn into the bad hulk? Forgot his name. So in all he isnt normal. Plus there is a rule in comic making. You can make it as far out as you want but you must bring it down to earth at some point, like something they cant do that makes the mind believe it lol. Doing this makes them think they can do whatever they want in the comic world as long as it has that one thing lol. Hulk is probably cant fly or something. |

Hulk spoils, 3 new scenes!!!!
replied on: 5/25/2008 7:35:35 AM Hmmm...I'm still dissapointed here. Just not real enough. >;] I don't mean to be a pooper. I love the Hulk. The first flick was very dissapointing to me when they added those stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid dogs that look like they came from "The Mask" with Jim Carrey. Nick Nolte also did a great job with his dull performance as a villain. *sarcasm* And the Hulk looked like a puppy dog green giant video game model. :/ There were only 2 parts in that movie where Hulk looked real. And sadly, they were all out of range shots. When they announced a remake, I told myself, first off, "too soon". The last one was still branded on people's minds as thee Hulk film. You have to wait until its been virtually forgotten. Kind of like Batman Begins. Though I can't say I could ever forget the nonsense Bat flicks before it (not the Tim Burton ones), still, it was many years later and people wanted a "restored to goodness" Batman, and they gave us just that. This new Hulk, however, should have been the first one to begin with in terms of approach. He still looks rubbery and fake. As a matter of fact, almost more fake than the first one, dare I say it, due to all the straination and details that aren't properly lit. I love that he looks more vicious, but the art direction is still (at risk of sounding pompous) wrong. One day, I want to sit down and render out a sample of how i wish they made Hulk look. In terms of how theyre playing out this movie. It's a bit too kiddie for my tastes. I'll explain. That fight scene Isaiah mentioned, I too felt was pretty worn out, done, goofy, wannabe every other film that already did it, and slightly obnoxious. I wouldve taken it towards the same "vibe" and "mysteriousness" as a monster found in the kongos, or sasquatch even. Something more scientific. A bit of X-Files energy, documentarish, and Jurrasic Park. God I use Jurrasic Park for everything. lol... But you know what I mean? Like, not comic bookish. Ironman wasn't comic bookish in the areas that needed to be serious. And thats why I loved it. It was like a sci fi action film that took itself serious but without straining out the humor which was completely in character with Robert's alias. I have a vision of Hulk in my noggin that looks incredible and real. CGI is not the answer to everything and im sick of directors thinking it is! They need to build actual models and blend them with CGI. When Abomination says the most overly used and redundant line, "Is that all you got?" *ugh cringes*, it was pretty much done for. Honestly, this is one movie I feel completely safe and comfortable saying, Im more that likely not going to be watching it. Not even on dvd. They need to do better and I feel bad saying that. Poor Hulk. |

replied on: 5/25/2008 3:46:55 PM quote: Considering what the Serum eventually turns Blonsky into, I think there's more to him than meets the eye (just like with the hulk) But there is a scene in the trailer when General Ross approaches Blonsky in the hospital (presumably after the fight), so he likely didn't get away scott free. |

replied on: 5/26/2008 12:53:44 PM NAR I think the League of Extroidinary Gentlemen would help explain your point. They used models because they didnt think they would get the same effect out of 3d people, all though they added CG in later on and look at how awome it looks, if it was done today i think it would loose the problems it has (i can spot many) but still thats the idea. The only problem with this movie is the fact that they dont back off from the hulk at all, every shot ive seen so far has the hulk covering the entire center of the screen. This is why it looks like it does, you have to get an amazing team to get a render to look so good at a shot like that, which is why we see other movies using actuel models for these shots. However Hulk is something very hard to do and would probably take some of the best to get it just right in 3d, i mean spiderman easy...ironman easier...transformers, interns anyone? Hulk has muscle and such and its harder because its supposed to be like a human, which is the hardest things to create. Along with that green is hard to get the right lighting and tone. Im not saying it cant be done by anymeans but it depends on who is working on it and how much they are getting paid. I still want to see it because it looks badass, it has Norton in it and he is a tremendous actor and the story of this one doesnt seem like one ill sleep through. I like to give movies a chance because you dont see everything in a comercial and who knows maybe they fix it in a movie. I dont see this movie with a huge box office swing. I mean Marvel themselves are not even giving it hope, i mean its just a few weeks away and they just now started marketing it. Ironman had marketing months ago and they still market it today. So that alone kinda makes me wonder. Either way i think we may be in for a treat. Still we are waiting for that one movie i really want to see badly. THE DARK KNIGHT! |

replied on: 5/26/2008 4:38:04 PM You make excellent points soldierone. I'll wait and see what the reviewers/fans think of the film after opening week. Norton is cool. Im just not feeling hungry for a Hulk movie right now. Its all about Batman. And Ironman. But since I already saw that, its totally Batman! |

replied on: 5/27/2008 4:31:46 PM OMG I totally peed myself when I watched the trailer for this. He looks way cooler than the other Hulk. Not to mention, who better to play Bruce than Ed Norton? I mean steve buscemi maybe. I think its totally gonna be better than that crappy first one they did. This isn't a sequel, is it? |

replied on: 5/27/2008 10:28:32 PM there never is a right way to make a comic based movie. look at the x-men trilogy, or even spiderman 3. I have a tendency to have high hopes for these movies and than get let down. I dont know though watching that trailer gave me geese pimples and that hasn't happened in quite some time. |

replied on: 6/6/2008 11:33:15 AM No this is not a sequel to the other Hulk movie. I actually did not dislike the first hulk as much as the rest of the population, lol. I will admit I was not the biggest fan of the way he looked but I liked the darkness of the film. I also liked Eric Bana in the role, probably I had never seen him before and it worked for me. Ed Norton is a great actor but it will be hard to not think of him as "Worm" from Rounders, lol. Here is hoping that this one does much better with the critics so they will roll out a few more of them. |
