When will we see a movie where the super hero, whoever it may be, is well respected among the citizens? I think the old superman movies are the only ones to try to attempt this so far. I mean spiderman is still being quesitoned in 3, batman is always reseting itself to the beginning lol ( i think he is still under question in the dark knight) and the hulk is the same way. All other movies are still at the begining of time with super heroes. Even the Xmen finished with them all being questioned. The thing is i want see a movie like spiderman where he is well into his spiderman life. Spidey 3 had him into his career but he was still being questioned. See watch superman doomsday and thats what i want to see. I mean he had the city on his side and everyone loved him. The city revolved around him etc. Thats the only way we can have a doomsday movie as well. I heard that they are planning to rid of the spiderman cast and make another 4 and 5. Thats a stupid idea in my opinion because they can do this. Why not keep toby and continue, do some differnt stories. I dont know about you but how many times has the same stories about spidey been told over and over again, and now the movies want to do it. Just keep him and do this, make him further in his career and start a new trend. Afterall it was spiderman that really bulted the comic book movie industry. |

replied on: 6/1/2008 8:44:09 PM yeah man i agree with you on that just allow the heroes to evolve with each movie everyone says comic book movies started with spiderman what about Blade? i think Blade Kicked off the movie craze back in the late 90's Blade 1 was so bad ass back then they had to try other super heroes pioneering stuff  hahaha |

I think in Iron Man 2 well see some of this idea in play I think people will love him more like a celebrity in that movie because of tony starks character as opposed to superman who is a symbol. As for spiderman 4-5 to be honest i wouldnt mind a new cast Tobey Maguire I dont think he is a great peter parker sure hes geeky but thats only a bit of his character. People dont get to see the spidey that never shuts up when he is fighting a criminal mocking his opponents. On the other hand it would be difficult to watch a movie with a continuing storyline without the same cast. So its hard to call. |

replied on: 6/2/2008 1:04:19 PM I say Spiderman because it was the first one to really make alot of money. Blade was ok to me nohing much though. Your right with it being first but spiderman will jolted the movies. Also with Ironman revealing his identity do you think they will play upon that or just come back and make it seem as if he was joking around? I ask because maybe they are working to create a civil war..... As for spiderman if you get a new cast your gonna have to change things. Im not saying you have to keep everyone but just keep Toby. Even batman changed other characters but in the Dark Knight its still Christian Bale and thats all people want. I think Marvel is starting a new trend of crossovers and im sure DC wont be far behind doing it. However I think DC is more capable of doing the "further along" than Marvel is so i hope they see it and start doing it as well. |

replied on: 6/3/2008 1:08:46 PM Did you guys not see Spawn? Any who, the reason those characters aren't unaccepted by the populous in the movies is because they aren't really accepted in the books. Spiderman is constantly getting crap, now more so than ever since being unmasked. Hulk for Christ sake goes on flipping rampages, and destroys crap. Batman is a vigilante after all, and that is against the law. Of course the same thing applies to Superman, but who is gonna tell Superman not to save the world. Its not like they could stop him. So they get over it and accept he's there. Honestly I think its better that way with Spidey, Hulk, and Bats. It makes the story that much more fun. It adds to the characters. Like Spidey for example:look at how he is ridiculed for everything. Yet he still fights the good fight. Doesn't matter what they say, he knows he's good. |

replied on: 6/3/2008 5:38:27 PM I agree with that mostly thats the a lot of the appeal to spiderman, batman, and hulk that it never matters how much good they do they r still hunted after but they dont care because they do the right thing. But I would like to see a movie with a super hero other than superman who is just accepted by the masses. Its not as interesting if all of the characters are hated by the public. Theres always that interesting relationship between spidey and the avengers in which the avengers are loved and spiderman cant seem to figure out what hes doing wrong. |

replied on: 6/3/2008 8:36:44 PM Its because of the press, his own boss slanders him(Spiderman) in the papers. Most people generally believe what they read in the papers. Because people as a whole are dumb, and paranoid. That is why Spidey will more than likely always be a target. I hate to see it too. Spidey is one of my all time favs. I just dont think he'd be the same if everyone loved him. He'd be cocky and that would ruin him. |

replied on: 6/3/2008 9:14:17 PM the crow was another comic book great Spawn was awesome when i saw it now as an adult it seems childish bit damn i love that movie A Hero loved by all movie huh? a Captain Atom movie perhaps or a Green Lantern movie? now that would be cool usually Green lantern is loved and respected by all and FLash... Flash is a celebrity in central city at least everyone loves him I remember that Justice league unlimited episode about flash in central city picking up local girls and there was even a flash museum he is one of those guys everyone likes ... Wally West Rocks hahaha |

replied on: 6/4/2008 6:44:24 AM The Crow Ownz yer soul!! I loved that movie when I was a kid. Hated Crow City of Angels though. The only thing good about that was the cameo the Deftones had. Spawn was a great movie especially being one of my first comic movies. Spawn was like the coolest comic character and he was brought to life. Granted I didn't read as much about him, But what I did amazed me. PLUS!!! that sound track was Bad ASS!!  Captain Atom is kind of a lame character for DC.  |

replied on: 6/5/2008 6:09:51 PM dude hahah Captain atom had a huge revamp in the past 2 years or so check out captain Atom : Armageddon storyline this dude is bad ass now he friggin destroyed a universe (one of the 52 remaining from the previous crisis) and one of his versions of the 52 earths became the villain known as the monarch which is a powerhouse man i love DC, especially Countdown to crisis books DC has some pretty dark stories as well, its just that most people focus on the core flag titles which i do agree are a bit for kids like your justice league and superman, wonder woman... |
