phantro Sheperd of the NCU Wolves Quote \| Reply \| This message was updated on 6/30/2008 1:38:54 AM by phantro	WANTED posted on: 6/30/2008 1:34:36 AM hey i liked it i thought for a moment it would be cliche it picked up and had the right amount of action and it did not really take itself too seriously in parts, even made me laugh in some scenes (of course, these guys can bend the trajectory of bullets) as far as assassin movies go i think this one is pretty fantastical stylish and cool. if you are looking for realism then this is not for you. it sort of reminded me of Fight club, Shoot em up, the matrix, and starship troopers (in the way that it did not take itself too seriously at times) over all i thought it was a decent entertaining movie not deep but fun as hell

The curving bullets thing....im okay with it cuz it seems to be there "super power" We dont Laugh at Superman cuz he can change the course of planets. Its just his power. We dont laugh at Spiderman cuz he could stick to walls even through armor, clothes or shoes. Its just his power. N.E.ways, it was entertaining for me. You know being a fanboy of comics makes this a very exciting time for me. I mean there will always be good and bad movies and everyone has their personal favs and all but the fact that we are seeing all these movies put out there for us well I find it very fortunate of us to have that. I just watched The Punisher the other day again and even though it didn't make a splash I still enjoyed it. I can pop in Spawn in the VCR ( heh heh ) and still enjoy it. We have not seen Spawn on the Big Screen again and what if we never do again. My Point is......We should enjoy these movies for what they are. I'm sure a lot of us think that we can write a better screenplay or Direct it better but the fact of the matter is that until we are in that position, we should just be happy and excited that we are being drowned in these movies, good or bad. I"m not trying to ruffle anyones feathers here, I'm just voicing out my fanboy voice of appreciation
phantro Sheperd of the NCU Wolves Quote \| Reply \|	WANTED replied on: 7/8/2008 10:57:41 AM yeah man i agree the curvy bullets were cool hahaha see as long as they give some form of "Explanation" to why they can do supernatural stuff i will accept it in the movie. doing crazy stuff with guns is not uncommon in movies and i do like it when they do. good examples for me would be... like the matrix : they could do stuff like dodge bullets because it was a virtual world and "There is no spoon" hahahah Equilibrium:: these guys train a martial art with guns that allows them to statistically place themselves in the most accurate kill zones. hahahah Wanted: well, bullets in real life actually and eventually curve downwards, all these guys were doing was they were giving an extra force to affect the trajectory of a bullet as it comes out the gun , which already spins when fired. And since they could slow down their perception of time i suppouse it is possible to manipulate this in the movie. hahahahah at least there is some form of explanation some movies just make it like : OH YEAH HE CAN DODGE THE BULLETS BECAUSE HE IS THE MAIN CHARACTER... THATS ALL that i dont like ohh and Spawn rocked!! i dont care how much the plot sucked hahahah man i love watching that movie

As for this im just waiting for it on DVD. The whole curving a bullet thing would only make sense to me for sniper training as you have to take wind and distance into effect and those bullets really do curve. As for a handgun i dont really see it being needed let alone interesting lol. Ill see it on DVD dont get me wrong ill give it a chance just nothing i want to spend 10 bucks to go see.

Soldierone: no worries man, I liked Shoot em up, not because it is a smart plot, its because sometimes these kind of movies just provide some mindless entertainment, you know, sometimes I just want to shut off and watch something entertaining even if it makes no real sense. hahah as far as paying 10 bucks, well, what can i say? Movie hopping at a dollar cinema is fun with friends, you get to watch several movies in one day for cheap even if they are not great, i Just love movies...
