phantro Sheperd of the NCU Wolves Quote \| Reply \|	Hellboy 2 and Hancock posted on: 7/12/2008 11:04:18 AM ok so i saw them both last night HELLBOY THE GOLDEN ARMY ROCKED!! the visuals in that movie were so amazing. Director Guillermo del Toro is now one of my favorite storytellers, the creatures really remindemd me of the beings in Pan's Labyrinth, they were bizarre and unique looking. The acting was solid and the character development was very good, i totally could relate to the characters in this movie, even if they were monsters, both sides had a compelling reasons and motivations for their goals. You could tell they had a lot of fun making this movie. And i truly believe this is one of those rare cases where the second movie tops the first one . Now on to Hancock, it was fun to watch but i honestly feel like i saw 90% of the movie summed up in the trailer. It had its funny moments and it had classical super hero elements to it as well as some original views on the superhero movie genre. There is a twist in the end, for some reason felt obvious, and well kind of unimpressive when they revealed it. I would definitely rent it and watch it again because it is a fun movie to sit through with your friends while drinking a few beers and go WOAH... EWWWW... and HAHAHAHA to.

In fact, I hate Hellboy. LOL... no really, Im not a fan of that character. Nor the actor who plays him since Blade 2. But the visuals look amazing. Better than the Incredible HULK.

It was funny, action packed and great story telling. I know that Nar would love the atmosphere of the movie if he gave it a chance. SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!! Hankock: to me, was great. I loved the fact that he is an Angel, a creation of god to protect people. You dont see that ever. God is mostly protrayed as a bad guy in super hero movies or cartoons or comics and it is nice to have a change on that once in a while.

I just saw some flaws in it that i would of changed, including the CG effects in the first half. To me the second half was worth watching by itself so i was happy lol. Havent seen hellboy yet though. I have a review of both movies, my friend did the hellboy review, on my blog though. Both seem to be good movies i guess.
