You can see him in a video that shows how is was practically genetically made to be Captain America. Don't know who he is though.. only info I've found related to captain America is this: Rumored release: May 6th of 2011 Based on the Marvel Comics character from the second World War, a mild-mannered young soldier named Steve Rogers volunteers for a special Super Soldier program for the US Army. Donning the colors of Old Glory, Captain America leaped into the hearts and souls of every American bringing hope and justice to a war-weary nation. Jon Favreau was originally chosen by Marvel Studios to direct this film, but he chose to direct Iron Man (2008). Oddly enough, Nick Cassavetes, who was eventually hired to direct this film, had been set as a director for Iron Man (2008) in December 2004 Rumored Capitan America: Matthew McConaughey It's just a rumor, but I hope not, it would probably be better to be someone that the public eye doesn't know too well. replied on: 8/2/2008 12:14:57 AM I agree about John Cena, I think he really looks the part. I hate when they cast people who look wrong in films on the bases of them being 'good actors'. Maybe in the theatre acting is important but on film a decent director should be able to make anyone look like an actor. It's not like Captain America is known for his dynamic personality and impeccable sense of comic timing anyway. Maybe for something like Reservoir Dogs, which is all dialog you would need good actors, but superhero movies are always going to be cheesy, a wrestler (which is only acting anyway) should have no trouble pulling it off. I prefer John Cena over the other guy, just because he looks bigger, and more unnaturally roided up. But they both look pretty decent. I'm sure neither of them will get the part though, and it will probably go to someone ridiculous like Edward Norton... because he's a 'good actor' I would be more concerned about hiring decent script writers and I blow at least half my budget to persuade John Williams to do the sound track. |

replied on: 8/2/2008 11:06:31 AM I agree with smack on the whole casting wrestlers. They aren't really as bad at acting IMO. Especially when it comes to a superhero role. How bad could it be? I also heard talks of Triple H playing Thor. I wouldn't mind seeing that. Anything is better than them casting some whiney dude to play spider-man. |
