A while back I heard about World War Hulk but decided to wait until the series was done to look for the books (HUGE Hulk fan here). On ebay I found a hardcover "Planet Hulk" book and got it for 11 bucks! When it came it was in great condition which made up for the late shipping. I couldn't put it down. This reminds me of the early Peter David days of Hulk where he would often enter into his own head and other dimensions. I love that stuff so it made complete sense that my favorite comic character, The Silver Surfer, was in it. It had a heartbreaking ending but still went a bit too fast and maybe should have been drawn out a little longer but it's easily overlooked. Aaron Lopresti has grown since his Sludge days. Man has he grown. I can't wait to find a deal on World War Hulk as soon as I get the dough. That's why I didn't post in the WWH thread. Already had someone ruin the red hulk for me  |

replied on: 9/1/2008 10:26:01 AM i loved planet hulk man i want to get the trade paperback i read the actual comic book month to month and i missed a couple of episodes here and there but that fight of the warbound versus the silver surfer was the most epic fight i had seen in a long time i liked how they borrowed elements from the movie Gladiator and applied it to the hulk awesome stuff |
