xTool462x Equip Mod Quote \| Reply \|	What's your preference? posted on: 7/15/2003 1:00:15 AM In a different topic I posted that I own a Vox Valvetronix amplifier that can do just about everything except play the guitar for me...it has any model and camp available in a valve amp which I love....BUT every now and then I consider buying some external effect's boxes (some Boss or Digitech) becuase I can make some bad-ass sounds through my amp and can control certain effects on a single channel w/ my foot...but it's a whole different foot-menu and that means I have to do more switching in order to switch to a different channel. (Hope that makes sense) So I somewhat feel like more of a "Slave to the pedals" than if I would just have the external boxes to stomp ON and OFF. So what's your preference? Do you think it'd be better to have for example a Marshall JCM with the stompboxes OR a bad-ass modeling amp like a Line6 or my Vox? Just trying to spark a lil convo is all.
SpiralOut Quote \| Reply \|	What's your preference? replied on: 7/17/2003 7:39:56 PM I'd say to buy a nice amp, and a bunch of single stompboxes, but if you have a LOT of money to throw around, get Rack-Mounted gear, it sounds better, but is a lot more complicated, and a LOT more expensive.
