Not only do Rage-heads get Audioslave, the new band featuring three-quarters of RATM, but singer Zack de la Rocha is also working on a project of his own. Now, fans might get the biggest treat of all — a new record by Rage themselves. No, RATM haven’t reformed, but it seems that they may release a farewell live album soon. Guitarist Tom Morello told Australian website Undercover that the band recorded a live album comprised of recordings from the band’s last leg of shows. The entire disc was recorded in 2000 but has been sitting on the shelf ever since. Morello didn’t shed any light on when the live album may be out, but he said its eventual release was a sure thing. Don’t expect any reunion tour just yet, though, as both Audioslave and de la Rocha are incredibly busy. Audioslave will join this summer’s Lollapalooza tour along with Jane’s Addiction, Queens Of The Stone Age, Incubus and Jurassic 5. De la Rocha hasn’t offered a concrete release date for his debut solo album yet, but we do know that he’s been recording with a variety of knob-twiddlers, including DJ Shadow and Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor. De la Rocha gave the world a taste of his solo sound last month when he posted an anti-war song, "March Of Death," on his website. |

Ocassional previously unreleased or re-released material 2. Audioslave's new materpieces 3. Zack's new funk-rap-metal-core It's my musical utopia. All I need now is a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix and I'll be set! |
