clearing of the paths in Staverton

Has anyone else noticed the state of the paths and verges in
Staverton, which have been "maintained" today/yesterday?

There are stalks that have been hacked through; grass cut unevenly;
grass strewn all over the paths. The verge cornering Moor Road and the
road down to the church was beautiful: full of flowers of many
varieties and now it's shredded and ugly.

The church path needed urgent attention because it was becoming very
overgrown, narrowing the path and becoming dangerous underfoot and, of
course, the verges need to be maintained, but it has been done so
incompetently and will become slippery underfoot if it rains on the
grass clippings tonight. It is not clear now where the path starts and
the verge begins and it would be quite easy to stumble into the leat,
if you were unaware that it is there.
