| The Family Name of Staverton

Hi My family name was spelt STAVERTON up until aprox 1748 when it changed to STAFFERTON. The furthest back I know is William DE STAVERTON who was murdered in 1401. He was the Lord Mayor of Stroude in Berkshire and also designed and constructed the Maidenhead stone bridge. I would love to know if any STAVERTON family members are burried at the church or locally. The STAFFERTON family name is very rare and all known are related back to Richard Stafferton born 1813 son of John STAVERTON christened 10.07.1748.
