Bridge access

As ever its the small minority who spoil it for the majority. Its a shame to have to have them but you just need to see one large 4x4 towing a commercial trailor too wide for the gap, using brute force to push the old posts apart and in the process gouging the stone parapet of our beautiful old bridge (as I did) to understand why 'the authorities' felt the need to do it. There might be a better solution but its down to us to think it through and convince the council to try it. Yes, they are a pain but once you get used to them they don't hold up ordinary vehicles too much. And if you are in large vehicle or towing something substantial maybe its better for all to go another way???
