Nicholas Palk, b. abt. 1767

I am looking for any ancestors of Nicholas Palk or any information on him. I have traced my Palk family back to an N. Palk in Covent Garden, London, born around 1767, but cannot find his birthplace. Oral family history says that Staverton is the "home" town and IGI tells me a Nicholas Palk was born there in 1767. Am hoping to make a connection. Any info greatly appreciated!
