Was just recently gabbing with my sister and we were discussing ghosts, spirits, etc,. She is a very religious person and she was telling me about some of her fellow worshippers at her church had a discussion on what time of day people see ghosts, apparitions etc,. She said that some of them think that only good spirits come out during the day and evil ones after 10 p.m. Ok I've never heard this theory before and not sure what they meant by it??? Someone want to give and opinion on this one?

Sounds like something made up or dug out of the bible by bad interpretation. Neve heard anything like that before.

That probably evolved from the belief that evil spirits roam on All Hollow's Eve (at night) and return in the morning. Also the thought that sunlight deters evil. i really doubt that it is true.

In my experience ghost activiy can happen at anytime, day or night and all year around. Activity seems to increase though from November to February (at least from my logs).

The popular belief on that is, because there is more static electricity in the air for spirits to "feed" off of during the winter months. The winter months are supposed to be the best months for ghost hunting. The problem we have is, most of the time the temperatures aren't high enough for our equipment to be safe. Most cameras/video recorders aren't supposed to be used in temperatures below 35 degrees or they run the risk of condensation, which can ruin them. The coldest I have taken my camera out was 28 degrees, but the wind chill was 17 - 19 degrees and it seemed to be fine.

Anyway, i'm getting off the topic here. That is another whole discussion in itself *skips along to the spirit photography thread*....

Damn, you stole my thunder about the static charge! The temp here in Houston rarely gets below 35F so thats not an issue. The time when you have to worry about your camera is when the temp is approaching the dewpoint. Thats when condensation is a bother. We get fogging of course when the camera is cold (a/c and is taken into our high humidity) but it evaporates really quickly.
