Sensitives!?
posted on: 12/13/2005 8:05:14 AM

Well in all the years I have been investigating the paranormal I have only met one person I believed to be truely gifted. Luckily I was able to persuade her to join our group. The reason I was impressed by her ability was because of her knowledge of events that she couldn't possibly know about in advance.

When I first met her and found out she was claiming to be a sensitive I decided to put her to the test. One of our ongoing investigations is of a very haunted, unoccupied, bay-side mansion on the Trinity Bay. I gave her no information on the property, not even an address. I picked her up for the investigation. I already had a large file of informaton on the property (people and family members involved, ghost identification, and so on). The things that she relayed to me coincided with my own research material and owners accounts. She even told me other things about the location that I didn't even know and was only able to find through police records.

I have met a lot of people (probably in the hundreds) who claimed to be sensitive but only one that was able to prove to me she was. I had to laugh at the amount of "sensitives" that show up to these ghost conferences. Man-o-man! It's like a Star Trek convention!

For a long time there was a period when everyone with a set of dowsing rods, a pendulum, a copper headband or just someone who happen to see something strange claimed to be sensitive. Granted, places like this forum are a focal point for people who truly are but it is also a focal point for posers who want to be noticed or special.

Don't get me wrong, if you are a sensitive you may have a gift. To me though you are just another person until you can sway my opinion. You may say, why should I have to prove my gifts to you? I say, you don't but if you want me to take any information related to sensitive collected information seriously, then you do! Otherwise any information you provide from your "gift" that isn't backed up with documentation and actual collected evidence is just words.

Even the sensitive I do trust understands that I cannot use any of her impressions or communications for evidence. Instead we use it to relate to the entity in order to get it to manifest in some physical way.

Sensitives...I believe they exist. Common...no! Just my opinion though.

DITTO!

By the way, Frank.... Don't you have a website for your group, with all of your evidence and findings? And if not, why not and will you ever?

I have a couple different websites. One is for our investigative group with general information about us and what we will do (sadly, it is not complete and I haven't the time lately to give it the attention it needs).

The other is my research group, which is seperate from the investigative. It is just a blogger site where I post everything from the latest news to email conversations with the so called "who's who" of the paranormal community. My research material itself, the actual data is kept off of the net. So far it is an 80 page (and growing) dissertation that has taken 4 years to put together.

I believe that a lot of people have varying amounts of ability in sensitivity. but most people are not.

I'm trying with the sites. The DPART site isn't completed so I feel a little uneasy about letting people visit it. We have enough regular clients right now that we don't need any new ones, although new blood is always welcome.

I believe somewhere in the archives of the Ghost Physics site I have conversations between me and Dave Oester of IGHS (pogue), and with Tom Butler of AA-EVP. Neither of them could answer my questions with any depth or they were so full of themselves (Dave) that they just kept referring to their membership totals or gave completely vague answers.

Dr? Dave Oester and Sharon Gill are so freaking overly superstitious and overly religious that I don't see how anyone can find them the least bit credible. The majority of their "evidence" and theories are based entirely on their mystical beliefs and Sharon's "senses". Not to mention they are media gluttons. You're definitely not the first person to stump Mr. Oester.... LOL

Yeah, one of my online friends Kenny of PIRA (I believe he is in the PA area) had a vendetta going against him for a while. Then Mr. Dave stepped on his own dick in Gettysburg and showed the paranormal community his true colors.
