I was reading about how a Catholic Bishop or Cardinal was saying that evolution is not necessarily agains biblical teachings. He sited that science is how and religion is why (paraphrase). What got me was that some PhD said that evolution disproves the existance of God. No matter how you slice it, that doesn't logically follow. Scientist can have as many personal beliefs as they want, but they should shut their pie holes about anything they cannot emperically prove. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it would be impossible to prove that God does not exist. I am not saying whether God exists or not, but science cannot tell us. The drawback of science and the scientific method is that you can only prove the existance of something, never that something doesn't exist. |

replied on: 12/21/2005 5:42:44 PM yes indeed, or so i am inclined to believe; no one can empirically disprove something that is outside all our framework... I think it was just a few year ago the catholic church began to formally "indicate" that evolution was, as far they were concerned real enough. |

replied on: 1/4/2006 4:21:06 AM I guess they would evolve as fast as their consciousness does. Energy is relative to it's action and it is constantly emitted and absorbed, so it's energy wouldn't age. The only reason I see for having a body in the first place is to directly interact with our environment and to make babies! Both are fun and I won't give that up without a fight. LOL |
