On Christmas Eve my wife and I went to the Steelers/Browns game at the Browns Stadium in Cleveland. We parked at a train station and took a train to the stadium and we heard nothing but trash talking from Browns fans the whole way there. Once we got to the stadium we heard nothing but trash talk while we were in line. A couple Browns fans (men) even tried starting shit with my wife while we were in line, just because she was carrying a "Terrible Towel". Once we actually got in the stadium some asshole literally plowed right into my wife on purpose and about knocked her over. Fortunately for him my wife didn't tell me about it until later.... Once we got to our seats, THAT'S when the fun really began. Fortunately there were probably just about as many Steelers fans in our section as Browns fans, but that didn't stop the Browns fans from shouting out obscenities at all of us Steeler fans. And I mean they were saying nasty personal stuff! Long story short, I don't know which was more fun, watching the Steelers smear the Browns 41 - 0 or watching security remove one Browns fan after the next and even GROUPS of Browns fans from the stadium for being retarded! It was just total pandemonium. At one point, some Browns fan ran across the field, at which point one of the steelers picked him up and slammed him down on the ground! Then the cops tackled and handcuffed him then took him off to jail. Then by the 3rd quarter there was a steady stream of orange and brown decorated, trash talking Browns fans abandoning the stadium, because they were getting beat so bad.... I must add that it was a pretty quiet train ride back to our car after the game as well.... LMFAO!!!! The part I really thought was ridiculous was how they would not show any Steeler replays on the big screens - Only the Browns. I thought that was totally juvenile and unprofessional on the part of the stadium. Especially seeing how we paid freaking $150.00 for tickets! This was our first pro football game and all in all it was a great time, even though tickets are entirely too expensive. We look forward to hopefully making a game next fall, but we'll be in Steelers country next time! >8>  - Aedryan |

I haven't been to a pro game in a long time but I can say I have never seen football fans act that way and football is huge in Texas (we don't even miss the local highschool games). I swear, fans are getting bad. What gets me is when they speak of their favorite team as if they were wearing the jersey right next to the QB. "We kicked yall's ass"! or "We played awesome this weekend!" Back when I played we heard that all the time.... "We got creamed" or "We kicked they're asses"! I'm like, "I didn't see you in pads and a helmet, you didn't do shit"! I can't believe that the tickets cost that much! How in the hell do they justify that cost to the fans? |

I've been to a couple games and even had playoff tickets last year....When your in Steeler country you have a better time of it but not all pro teams treat the fans the same way...the Browns are just an ignorant team who can't play for shit .... LOL Frank.... Sometimes the steeler tickets can go for quite a lot of money....Some people even go on e-bay to get playoff tickets at astronomical prices.... I was once quoted a $1,000.00 from someone who wanted my ticket.... I will say that the Steelers have one of the highest ranking # of fans..... |

replied on: 1/3/2006 9:20:09 AM Damn, that is high. During the world series, Astros tickets were going for 1500 to 1700 on ebay. That was just plain silly. I watched the game for free on TV and had better coverage. |

You are right though, you have to be a die hard fan to pay that amount for a ticket..1,000 was just way out there for me.. I'm glad I had the ticket though LOL |

Mine and my husbands for a nice chunk of $2,000 because it was supposed to be so cold that I just didn't want to deal with it....Only bought the tickets for $75.00 so we made a nice profit..They were season tickets... |
