I bought a mirror at a garage sale in 1997, and I think a ghost came with it. Has anyone experienced such occurances when buying furniture, items and etc. At first I thought it was our waterbed just getting old. I would "feel" someone sit down on the bed...I would open my eyes and I would be alone. The same thing happened to my husband. We would both alone and together "feel" someone sit on the bed and them git up again and then sit back down. We got rid of the waterbed matteress because we thought it was "getting old", and bought a new custom made to fit firm matteress, that would be inserted into the water bed's beautiful hard wood frame. It continued to happen, the movement of the matteress. He sits down, gets up and sits down again. Then I noticed that on those nights when "he" sat on my bed...I would have apon awakining these "intense feelings" these so called "dreams", which were beyond any dreams I had ever had. I had activlly particifated in activities geared to "remembering dreams", but these were different. And so since the year of 1997 I have had some interesting "experiences". I have a ghost that I have "bonded" with and whom I would very much miss should he decide to leave. (And yes I have offered to help him leave if he should wish to do so.)

No...the room does not grow cold.
No...I am not afraid of him.
No...I am not totally comfortable with him.
No...I cannot "hear" him only feel him.
No...I do not "see" him.
He comes only when he wishes, I have tried to "summon or call" him into being and it won't work. At least not every time.
And No...I do not wish to see him leave...we have "bonded", I feel that when I am alone...I an not alone. This comforts me.

So, I would say YES!!

To answer your question YES you can bring a spirit home with you. They can attatch to anything and move freely away from anything as they want. The type of spirit greatly changes what it does but then again who are we to say what a spirit can and cant do.

Although it's been common to hear of spirits following older objects especially mirrors. Read the post about "a threatening EVP in my own home" I believe that was about someone who brough a ghost with a mirror.

Good luck with it.

It is THOUGHT that spirits can attach themselves to objects, places and even people, but to say YES they absolutely can is presumptuous at best. I have heard some fantastic stories that were pretty convincing, but i've never seen one shred of documented evidence of such. Nor do I think anyone has.

My advice would be to try and collect some evidence. Keep a detailed log of all strange occurances and try setting up video recorders and audio recorders and taking pictures in the room where the mirror is at.

Please keep us posted!

Too late now, I've been "bonding" with this "ghost" or whatever since 1997.

He never "touches" me, just sends these "feelings" my way, not unpleasent feelings.

Finally this week, I was fast enough to reach out and "feel" him, I thought "This is gonna leave a mark", but it didn't.

Once I asked him to leave and he did, I missed him...I called him back and it took a while, but he came back. But I always stressed "only if you wish to".

I'll take heed of your "take caution notes".

Oh yeah, I took pictures saw nothing, which didn't surprise me. He doesn't speak, so nothing to record.

so your saying you actually touched a ghost and you can make him leave or come back on your command...That's really something..I've never heard of that.....

Its not a command, the more I concentrait on him the stronger he becomes and vice versa...the less I think of him the weaker he becomes. As soon as I felt his hands he was gone, could have been my imagination...or whatever.

I would never let someone put cameras in my room, they'd just see me acting all weird.

I fell into a similar situation once. Something was in my room for a long time. I could barely see it, like a hazy clear mist and it would rach out for my hand or sort of lay on me so that my whole field of vision was distorted. But at the same time period i had terrible nightmares and saw other things. I didnt know if they were related so i tried to get it to leave but to no avail. Looking back now i think it may or may not have been bad....but other things came along in its wake, thats almost definate. I think thats something you need to consider.

Sorry, but i'm not sure how healthy it is to be "bonding" with something you do not even know exists, let alone something you cannot see, hear or touch. Let's just say, I wouldn't let anyone see you doing it.... LOL Also, regardless of what fruitcake "psychics" will tell you, I don't think spirits can just be called upon or manipulated at our whim.

Just my $0.02 worth....

I agree with meth, be weary of it still, it might not be what you think it is.

I believe it so, GiGighost.
My daughter's closet was always cold (like a fridge) and all year round, even though the up-stairs is sweltering in the summertime. Still that closet would be very chilly.
She also gets freaked out too, and calls 'whatever' it is a 'fireghost'. That this thing was watching her, trying to grab onto her, or make her fall off the bed. What do you begin to think? this coming from a toddler? very active imagination? caused by cartoons or something? who knows?
Well, one night, i decided to sleep with her because she woke up in a fright, after i fell asleep, in my dream saw the closet door open and out came this frail girl about 6 or 7, and she looked like a red mist. The way she moved, i guess, would kind of look like a fire to a young child. She came right up to the edge of the bed and before i could grab hold of her first (i was mad at her for scarying my little one), she grabbed onto my forearm, and i woke up. It was still dark out. At nights, i can hear rummaging in my daughter's room, and thinking she is up, i look in there and see that she is still asleep. We have not cats or mice...e.t.c. I think she may have been experiencing this apparition for some time now, until she was able to talk, and tell me what it looks like. When they're younger they only laugh at it, as she had done in her crib.
My daughter has hand-me-downs from donators. And there are 3 large garbage bags of clothes in that closet. Once i removed them and put them in the basement, her closet seems to be fine now and the 'fireghost' is not mentioned by her her any more. She is sleeping soundly now. Thank god. Of course, now i can hear rustling downstairs at nights and fell like i am being watched everytime i go down in the basement when that never even happened before. Ugh!
I think i will just BUY stuff from now on instead of get things second-hand because you never know what you'll get with it, and get rid of those garbage bags of clothes too. Some ghosts are just not welcome even with a good deal, antiques or clothes-wise. I need the Ghostbusters.
-------------------------
As for the bed Gigighost; it could very well be a sucubi problem. Generally speaking, they are the cause of mild poltergueist activity and attract other spirits. It is best, to tell him/her to leave. Sorry.

I am new here so,, Meth, please do not take offence to this.
What about GOD, most feel that it is ok to bond with him. I've never seen him, never touched him, never had a chat with him, But I have felt him in big ways. (sorry I probably should have waited till I had been here for a while but,,,, I had to)

The cautions are good advice because you could get in over your head and turn this into somthing more than a friendly ghost (It can happen and has more than once.) None of us realy know how a ghost thinks so how do you know this entity will not start thinking of you as a "mate" and possibly get jelouse from time to time? What if it is a child and has a tantrum?

Try putting the mirror away (out of sight) for a few days just to see if the feelings stay or go.

some mirrors are said to reflect the inner self as well as outter, could what your feeling be your own desire or longing?

Thanks for the input, all....

I am a 57 year old happily married woman, very active, who loves to go dancing with my hubby on friday nights.

At my age (over 50) I'm probably not as careful as I should be about this. This has been happening since 1997 and I'm no worse for the wear.

When the bed moves, sometimes it happens to my husband too. But, he only "feels" someone sitting down and getting up and sitting down again. He mentioned it to me after I had felt it. He does not get the type of "feelings" I get. But neither does he remember very many of his dreams.

When I call (in my mind to the ghost, I just say "are you there?") he "sits on the bed" only about 50% of the time, when he feels like it. So I don't actually "control" when he does or does not come. Sometimes he "sits" on the bed when I don't call him.

But it seems he "listens" to me, because if I say "I'm tired I just want to sleep", he stays away. I did this for about a month. But maybe your right, it's all in my mind.
I have moved the mirror to other parts of the house, and have seen no change. (and no I am not getting rid of the mirror).

I feel that he "projects" these feelings to me, and those "feelings" are so strong they wake me up.

I've been a big fan of Dream Journals since I was a teen, and I often write my dreams down, these occurances do not feel like a dream....but it does make me more comfortable to discuss them as being dreams than to discuss them as having a "ghost lover" or what ever. I sure don't go around telling everyone about him.

Since I'm over 50, it could be a combination of over or under active hormones and discovering a ghost at the same time.

Thank you again for your information, I do appreciate it.
