Shay's arm after an intense ASP episode.
replied on: 2/8/2006 6:14:48 AM Frank the sensation that I got during the "ASP" episode was freezing, tingling, not just like cold I would describe it like touching dry ice. Immediately after I felt something like you would feel from getting a rope burn. Like a stinging burning sensation. This pic was taken right after I noticed it and came out of the bathroom. My husband grabbed the camera and took it while positioning himself behind me so that we wouldn't get a real flashy pic I'm going to estimate like around 5 minutes after and that's just an estimate. I was really shook up so I'm not sure of the time. I set my arm down on my coat because it was darker than the blanket. I don't mind you posting the pic at all because sometimes when people come on sites and tell what happened and not be able to give any evidence, it's sometimes hard to believe something you can't see. I'm guilty of that myself... I see my arm and still think it can't be real... My husband and I discussed all possible reasons. Like for instance that I grabbed my arm while having and "ASP" but in the position the marks are I can't re-create it on my forearm and my fingers don't match up. Also we even thought maybe my husbands hand. Nope doesn't match. I was lying on my back when I sat up so it wasn't caught anywhere.. I just don't know???? This episode started at 2:50 I went to bed at 2:30 it lasted for about 5-10 minutes approximately. I didn't see anything meaning no dark shadows... had no feeling that something was there it just hit me like ton of bricks. Meth has the rest of my story. I e-mailed it to him So what do you think Frank? What's your take on this? Also I want to thank you for letting me e-mail this to you. I am really camera illiterate when it comes to computers. |

replied on: 2/8/2006 7:41:15 AM Frank, Is that the size of the picture Shay sent ya or did ya size it down? I can see it fine and everything, but a larger pic would be great. Shay, This is really amazing. I wasn't expecting something the marks to be so obvious. I have a few questions: 1) Are the 3 smaller marks to the left related to this event as well? 2) Do you have pics of your other arm? If so, I would really like to see if the patterns of the marks are similar, etc. 3) Have the marks shown any signs of turning black and blue like a bruise? At first glance, the marks don't really seem to have the same characteristics that you would would expect marks from hands and fingers squeezing your arm to have, because of how the line seems to connect the three "finger" marks to the right at the bottom (human hands at least). But, i've been sitting here squeezing, pinching, slapping and pushing down on my own arms in a few different ways to try and get some kind of an idea of how it would look. At first the marks I left on myself had perfect white finger marks on them where I was squeezing, but the blood quickly returned and I couldn't see the white marks from my fingers any longer. My arms are just kinda hot and irritated feeling right now and a little red in appearance. At first a red mark connecting my fingers COULD be seen, because of the pinching of the skin as well. I didn't do it for very long, but i'm going to try it out on my wife when she gets home. She is more fair skinned than I am (and so are you) and she bruises very easily, so I should get a lot better of an idea. At this point I can kinda see how "something" pushing down and squeezing on your arms with their hands for an extended period of time might look like the marks in your photo though.... If everything is exactly as you say it is, we could really be on to something here! - Aedryan |

replied on: 2/8/2006 8:55:52 AM No Meth those are actually scars from burning myself on the oven. LOL I still have the pic of my other arm but like I said it was very faint compared to the right arm. You know it's funny you should say about sitting there trying to re-create them on yourself... My husband did the same thing and couldn't come up with the same affect. We've discussed everything from me bumping it earlier in the night to me actually grabbing during the "ASP" but since my fingers don't match I really have no idea. They didn't turn blackish green or yellowish like a normal bruise would. The one on my left arm is gone, the one on my right is very, very, faint. I don't bruise easily either and after the initial stinging sensation that I had right afterward it doesn't hurt. Not even to the touch. I really have no idea??? |

replied on: 2/8/2006 6:22:55 PM Something else I noticed on the marks are several X's. Did you notice those? Also, look real close at the line that connects the "fingerprints" at the bottom of them. It a;most appears as though there could possibly be letters and numbers.... >8>| Definitely freaking wierd! - Aedryan |

replied on: 2/9/2006 1:44:36 AM You know Meth I thought the same thing but couldn't bring myself to say for sure. If you remember I posted about seeing strange writing on my husbands arm and on the curtains and also on the ceiling in my last episode. Could it be linked? I have no idea but the letters "if that's what they are" don't resemble the one's I'd seen previously. I agree it is really weird..you know I did say they looked like finger prints but it's not like they are in an order if you know what I mean? Can a human hand make marks looking like that? I don't know guys still trying to think logically about this and re-tracing everything i did that night to rule everything out first... |

replied on: 2/13/2006 1:44:45 AM It wasn't an allergic reaction..Believe me I would know and have had allergic reactions to various medications...I wasn't taking any kind of medicine at the time.. Meth your right about saying it could be writing...meaning that after staring at it for a while and trying to visualize what you see you could say "hey that looks like writing." The marks are gone totally now... who knows what it was but I hope it never occurs again..That was a bad one.... |

replied on: 2/13/2006 2:20:32 AM Hold on, lets not jump to conclusions about the writing and numbers. Don't put that stamp on it without actually seeing real words and numbers. Before you know it every demonologist that visits this forum will be calling it a visit from satan or some other made-up evil entity. After showing these pictures to a few friends of mine, we came to the conclusion that it resembles the "burns" a patient gets from a defibrilator. In other words, "the skins reaction to high voltage". Essentially what happens are the capallaries at the skins surface rupture. It will resemble a bruise but will not have the same effect, in other words you won's have the change of color like you would from a deep contusion (bruise). If you haven't made the connection, my friends who looked at this picture are in the medical field (doctors, paramedics and nurses). I didn't tell them how we think you got it and I was unaware at the time that it would not change colors. I assumed that it wouldn't from my own experiences with these types of "burns". Besides the initial sting, there is no other pain associated with this type of burn even though it will leave a visual affect. One of the downsides to this explanation is that it would take a very large charge distributed over the surface area affected to leave these lasting marks. Shay, cold you "smell" a charge in the air? Kind of like the "smell" you get before a large thunderstorm. |

replied on: 2/13/2006 3:07:33 AM Frank I didn't smell anything that I can remember and I also work in the medical field...I know what your saying about a de-fib machine...they will sometimes leave a mark that resembles a burn..I think I did mention though that it felt like my arms were being held down so hard that I felt they were gonna break...more on the right arm than the left...Also I said that it felt like a "dry ice" rope burning sensation along with what felt like being shocked from touching something...not a heavy jolt. I also agree with the letters, numbers. I think that if someone stares at something long enough we tend to start to see things that in all reality just aren't there. I would like to say that the weather conditions at that time were a little on the wierd side for this time of year...We were having unusally warm days for this time of year but just recently got a pretty substancial amount of snow over the weekend... Also we were having lightning and thunder with snow storms not too long ago. Do I think it had anything to do with it...??? I have no idea. |

replied on: 2/13/2006 4:12:57 AM So then the shock was like a trickle voltage (a steady, weak pulse). Theres a reason I am concetrating on the electrical points, so bear with me. So, are you a doctor, nurse, paramedic, EMS? I was using the defib reference because most people know what they are now-a-days. I wasn't trying to say that the shock was that strong. I couldn't think of another piece of equipment that had electrodes and most people would be familiar with. I'm not concentrating on the perceived sensation hot/cold because electricity can confuse your senses. Also, the voltage exchanged can cause the same feeling of pressure that you referred to, "where it felt like your arms would break." Electricity can cause those muscles to spasm, lock, convulse, involunarily move, cramp, tense or relax. Keep in mind, everything I write here is pure speculation. I have no concrete idea what could have caused this, I am just going through a series of thoughts based on experiences with different types of equipment I work with. Many different effects of electrostatics are similar to what you have reported here, so I am working through the possiblilities "out-loud". |

replied on: 2/13/2006 5:47:20 AM Frank I'm a Physicians surgical Assistant... meaning I assist a surgeon during surgical procedures. Also have a degree in "Medical Assitand Specialist" So that just makes it easier for them to move me around to different places in the hospital...I've seen everything from open heart to working in the trauma unit...My least favorite is the trauma unit...Very crazy place to be..I'm happier in the surgical unit.. The de-fib machine can be a crazy thing also...but as you said the jolt that it gives is enough to re-start a heart...Also the person with the paddles in hand has to be pretty good at it... I agree with your reference to the pressure one can get from an electical shock...My brother just recently went through and ordeal with electricity..He describe it as seeing black squiggly lines and had no control of his body after the electricity took hold..threw him 10 ft..from a 6 foot ladder..did some damage... He is an electrician and was hurt in September and is still not back to work..He also said that his whole body tensed and that he felt a pressure going through his body. The electricity entered his pointer finger on the left hand went up through the left arm through the heart and back down the arm and out the thumb..There has to be an entry and exit for electricity. He was really lucky though.. I bearing with you on this to see if this can all be a logical explanation...I think your on to something Frank |

replied on: 2/13/2006 5:50:24 AM Also wanted to add that this took place really quickly after I had went to bed...We are talking around 5-10 minute period here and I don't fall asleep that fast..Just thought I'd add that in to this thread.. I might be grasping at straws here but was trying to rationalize how and why this occurred...I thought of everything from a electrical force holding me down to an entity/spirit energy holding me down to a demon and quite frankly I'm pretty baffled. It's strange how the mind works when your trying to find every logical explanation. All I know is what happened was quick, and at the time really freaked me out...I can think rationally now about it and say what was I doing right before this..I was thinking about all the boxes I had to pack the next day..We are moving and I was trying to think of what I had to do in the morning to get what I wanted done the next day. The next thing I know it happens...I've even freaked myself out thinking whatever happened it didn't want me to move...meaning out of this house.I know doesn't sound very rational but hey I'm just grasping at straws at this point..I'm probably just freaking myself out.... |
