My Dog freaked last night!!!
posted on: 2/20/2006 3:11:47 AM

Last night something crazy occured in my house....

My husband and I had just went to our bedroom...I had a headache and decided to lay down and see if I could get it to go away....

My kids were in the living room watching tv. For some unknown reason my husband & I heard what sounded like all hell breaking loose in the kitchen...My kids starting yelling are dogs name..."Neecie." We went running, next thing we know in the kitchen my dog had upset all the chairs and was running toward the living room...Something totally freaked her out...We looked in the kitchen and the table was moved and the chairs were laying on the floor... We looked out the kitchen window and outside to see if something might have made a noise to freak her out...Nothing...

My dog has never done this before and is not a radical dog...she tends to be on the lazy side. So what do you think happened? What would cause her to do what she did? This may be nothing but it freaked us out because she has never done it before...???

How big is your dog? Was there any string, tape or a sticker around? I know, at least with my mom's dog that if you place a heavy string, balloon, or something else on her tail or hind quarters she will bolt (feeling of something chasing her). Other than that, it could be a nervous disorder developing, or some other medical problem.

After eliminating those possible explanations, I would look into something paranormal.

My dog is not really big...her back standing on all 4's comes to my knee and I'm only 5'1" so she's not an over large dog...Nothing on her and no reason for her to bolt...have no idea but she is laying here on her doggy bed right now and after what happened last night she seemed fine...I don't know...just thought I would ask what would do that..

Do you have a Sony nightshot or equivalent camera? If so, I would setup the camera for a couple of long recordings to see if anything passes in common areas (hallways, living room, Kitchen).

Also, I would like to give a tip to everyone who uses any infrared (IR) video camera. Do not set the IR light to the highest setting! Adjust (if you can) the IR light to emit light where everything in the recording area is just visible. I have seen so many washed-out videos, it is really annoying. You will miss a lot of details and anomalies by washing out the frame.

My camera has a setting for night that we use a lot...I'll give it a shot..Also it records..couldn't hurt...

The kitchen doesn't have any glass doors. two windows but there are curtains and blinds on them..

The reason I mentioned this at all is because I've never seen my dog "ever" do that..it sounded like bombs going off in my kitchen. Chairs everywhere...My kitchen table and chairs are a heavy wood also so it took some strength to throw them around...I don't know if she could have done it? Maybe if she was frightened enough one of them but all 4..I don't know????

Did you or your kids hear her growl or bark at all? I was thinking that maybe something was reacting to her also!?

First of all Frank it's really hard to get my dog to bark LOL seriously the only time she will bark is if someone comes to the door. My husband has tried to get her to bark if she wants to go outside but all she will do is come to us and mimic a bark by clicking her teeth together "she looks so stupid" She is the biggest wimp..LOL As far as her growling??? I have no idea I can ask my daughters because when this happened I had just went to my bedroom with a headache..I'll let you know...

Well it seems like it is a spirit, My Spirits or demon in my old house used to beat and hurt my old Dog Smokey, He would be terrified to go into my mothers room where I slept because I was terrified anywhere but by her side. When I was a kid.
