To the chagrin of the producer, they weren't dramatic and didn't "sense things" on cue or with any theatrics. Instead they simply told the filming crew what was or wasn't there. Their segment was left out of the program for lack of audience appeal. Apparently Discover's ethics aren't as astringent as those of honest researchers. But they did get the respect of the filming crew, who unfortunely had no power over the editing. They were very professional and safety conscious, since the area included a couple of old buildings whose structural integrity was questionable at best. As one film crew member put it, safety is an important factor, since he fell through a floor with weak boards on a previous job he had worked. Which brings up an important point, be careful investigating the dead, lest you join them through carelessness. |
