parlance![]() Quote | Reply | | When a part of the soul is left behind posted on: 3/14/2006 4:46:05 PM It wasn't until I reached my forties that I even heard about the idea of the soul being divided into parts. The number of parts differs from culture to culture and belief system to belief system. In the Lakota ways they differentiate between the eternal spirit of a person, the wanagi, and the ghost that is sometimes left to wander the earth, the nagi. Above these are the wakan wanagi, the greater spirits who are like gods and who created all things in a joint effort between them. The Norse and the Egyptians agree upon the number nine for the divisions of the soul, though other beliefs say there are only five parts and that anything more is a subdivision of a part of the soul, a duality concept. In my own experiences I have seen my spirit seperate from my astral body, while the mind of my physical self looked on, so maybe this would be considered an actual experience with three parts of the soul. In my younger years I visited a house in Louisianna a couple of times. It was always the same part of the house, and I walked down a staircase past an octaganol window with multiple panes. There was a huge tree outside the window with Spanish moss hanging from its limbs and at the bottom of the staircase was a fireplace set katycorner to the staircase, following the way the wall was built in that area. Everything seemed to have a greenish color to it. I had a past life memory come forward and then later met a person who had met me in that life. My date of rememberance was 1812 in Louisianna, and I was a Creole woman. The person who had known me said he met me in 1826, and that I was passing for white. So in a way this explained my visits to the house in that state. Years later I saw an apparition of a woman here on the island where I now live. She seemed to be greenish in color, as though that were a part of how she manifested as a ghost. She was a very detailed apparition and I could easily reproduce her image in a drawing, though I wondered why a spirit that seemed to be from the 1800's haunted a building that was only 5 or 6 years old. In putting together the divisions of the soul with my past life memories and the phenomena of the full body apparition's greenish color I suddenly realized why I had visited that house in Louisianna. I had left a part of my soul there, my ghost, and I was trying to reconnect with it. I think I succeeded, because I haven't been back there since. But it makes me wonder if sometimes the reason a house is haunted by a malevolent spirit is because the rest of the spirit of the deceased doesn't want that part back? If so, then a reconciliation with some kind of rehabilitation as the working mechanism is in order. But how that would be accomplished would require the abilities of someone who can perform soul retrieval and redemptive healing. I don't know if my assessment of these events is correct, but it's something to think about when trying to explain ghosts. |

When a part of the soul is left behind
replied on: 3/16/2006 12:01:47 AM I astral travel a lot when I am asleep. For some reason I kept visiting this one house down south. And every time I would start at the top of the stairs and walk down past the octagonal window toward the fireplace at the bottom and then look at the door on the other side of the fireplace and leave. I think that somewhere in Louisianna there is a house that used to be haunted and they were probably seeing my ghost walking down the stairs. As I said before, everything had a greenish tint to it. I had an instance where my spirit had to come back because there was another spirit trying to take possession of my body, and the air felt like water to me. Years before that I was visited by a spirit that made the air feel like water. So I guess that is how the spirit manifests when it is on a certain level. In the case of a ghost apparition, like the lady here on the island, the energy level causes a greenish light. On another level, like when the spirit that came to me in my home as a girl, the manifestation in the physical world is a feeling of the air being like water. So there are other parallels to draw on to believe I was experiencing an inverted perception from the viewpoint of the ghost. I would guess they don't see that lady in the house in Louisianna any more. I am guessing I retrieved a part of my soul that was left behind. There are all kinds of theories about why the parts of the spirit sometimes become seperated, and usually third party intervention is required to reunite them, but I think in this case I put myself back together, so to speak. I am still trying to understand all this stuff and it will take more experiences and perhaps wiser heads than mine to sort it all out. But it helps to have seen the two different kinds of spirits, and then experienced how things are for them as a spirit. Kind of like looking at things from both sides. |

When a part of the soul is left behind
replied on: 3/16/2006 12:09:47 AM If you were asking about when my spirit seperated from my astral body, well that was part of a vision. I was in what they call the King's Chamber of a pyramid and my astral body lay down on a stone table and then my spirit raised up from it, leaving the astral body behind. My spirit had things to do that meant leaving the astral body behind, for some reason the astral body can't go certain places, and I don't know why that is. But the physical mind isn't allowed to follow every place the spirit goes. There are times when my spirit has come back and I have been aware that it left and returned, but not what it did while it was gone. So who knows what goes on in the other world. The spirit seems to have its own agenda, seperate from physical existance and even from astral existance. |
