My first "ASP" in my new home
posted on: 3/20/2006 8:32:04 AM

Well it took a little while but it's back....I had my first "ASP" in my new home last night....Husband got real freaked on this one...

We went to bed and unlike the other one's I've ever had I got to at least tell him right before it started... We had been out at our local American Legion and it was "karaoke night" What a night!!!! you wouldn't believe how some people react to someone who sings rock!!!!! But that's me and I don't care if they like it or not...Anyways...we get home around 2:45 a.m. I didn't drink because I always have to be on call for the surgical unit...so I'm the designated driver LOL We lay down and we are kabitzing about how older people frown on heavy metal and rock I'm laughing cause my husband said " you blew their doors off Babe" anyway I get this sensation and all I could say was "honey it's starting to happen" My eyes are open and all four limbs go dead... I can see my hubby over top of me putting his hand in front of my face and saying no , no not again come on Beck he said he heard me exhale but not inhale any air and that scared the shit out of him so he started to shake me....right out of the cornor of my eye I can see this really smokey looking black thing "never saw that before" it always had a shape of an ironing board before...this had no shape just like a black misty swirling thing...I can't get any air and it feel like something is pushing me down into the mattress...next thing I know my hubby grabs me and takes me down the steps and out the door to the patio area...I can feel him hitting me on the back .....I come out of it and he is sitting with me in his arms on the patio rocks ...It was freezing outside and I said that was a bad one and he said...We got to stop these things..You weren't breathing...So all in all it ended up that he built a fire in the fireplace and sat there with me for a while ....He went to get my journal and helped me fill it out...he gave his accounts to it..but it still has him scared... He said that my eyes were open but he put his fingers right to my eye and there was no response from me ...no blink nothing ...I have really sensative eyes...can't put contacts in without them watering...He keeps checking on me....even today he called me 4 times to see if I'm alright...this one must have really freaked him out...I told him I'm ok just really tired today.....Any thoughts guys...what do you think would have happened if he hadn't gotten me out of that room and outside? & what was that black swirling black misty stuff...it had no shape but was coming straight for us...????

I have had a lot of episodes of sleep paralysis. I wake up and there is something there and I can't move. My first instinct has always been to try and initiate speach. I have found that if I focus on doing that and make even the tiniest sound it breaks the paralysis.

One time I actually had a swirling mass above my body that made the air ripple like water. I kind of kicked myself after breaking the paralysis. The first thing I said was, "Get the heck out of here, I am not impressed." And the thing disappeared. I suppose I did the right thing, but it was such an unusual phenomena, and a first for me, that I wish I had spent some time studying it to see what it would do.

I have also woke up with sleep paralysis and found the astral form of a boy, maybe 12 or 13 years old trying to take some of my hair. When he realized I knew he was there and that I could break the paralysis, he left really quick.

Another time I woke up and heard the clicking noise made by the spirits, and there was one over my head. I have no idea what it was doing there, but as soon as I gained speach it left.

Smudging the room with sage or sweetgrass helps. Keeping some kind of holy talisman over your bed helps. But really you need to put wards over the doors and windows to keep stuff out. Mistletoe is good for that as well as sweetgrass twists, or any religious thing that has been blessed.

Usually the appearance of some kind of spirit accompanying sleep paralysis means someone is trying to mess with you. They will also walk in your dreams and try to do something to you there. So far I have come out on top with dreamwalkers. My spirit knows stuff about the other world that I don't and it always turns the situation around for me.

One time I was told that the outport of my lazer heater was like a chimney and that needed a ward around it as well, so pretty much any opening into the home has to be sealed against unwanted visitors.

Well Parlance..the religious thing is not for me...I don't practice any type of religion and frankly don't think it would help if I don't believe in it...Thanks for your reply.......

Well, I don't know what is going on with your issues about religion, but things like sage and sweetgrass aren't about religion. And you don't have to believe in them to use them.

One time there was a guy making false claims about native ancestry who went around trying to act like he was some kind of chief of all nations. He went on a rant about how new agers and "wannabes" were "stealing native culture" by using sage and sweetgrass for their ceremonies. I had to explain to him that these things aren't purification agents and wards against evil because Native Americans use them. Purification and protecting against evil is what these plants do. Like willow bark cures aches and pains because of the salicylic acid in the bark and it's not "stealing native culture" to use aspirin, or the original bark tea. Same with edible plants, like potatoes, pumpkins and beans, they aren't edible because Native Americans eat them, they are food plants. It's what they do.

I don't know why the sage and sweetgrass are what they are, but they work none the less, and the beliefs of the user doesn't change that. The same goes for mistletoe. It does what it does because that is its job.

Don't let your issues with religion blind you to the ways of the spirit. Everything has a spirit, including plants. And even the plants have their holy ones.

you don't believe to use them but for them to work you would. i think that it is the energy you put behind what your doing and less on the item you use.

The sacred plants are repellant to things with bad intentions. Kind of like when you use Pet Away to keep your dog out of a certain area. You don't have to understand it or believe in it, it just works.

The business of belief only applies to the projection of your own will. Things that have power independent of you as a source will do what they do regardless of your feelings about the matter. If some level of competance in using those things is required, then ignorance of how to use them, rather than belief will be your downfall.

I agree chaos...One must first believe that somethimg will work and use it for that purpose...as he stated about "cat away" if I go to the store to buy it I will first have to believe it will work or it will stay on the shelf...if you get my meaning?
