Ghost Face from Valley Forge I only signed up for this site to get some opinions on this picture. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Could this be a simple camera error? Cause I dont remember making a face at all like the one above me. What do you guys think? |

replied on: 3/21/2006 2:06:09 AM That would have been a really cool ghost pic if the person below it wasn't smoking. After just adjusting contrast and brightness you can see all the smoke around it. Even if it was a ghost I (personally) would have to throw it out because of the cig smoke. |

replied on: 3/21/2006 1:07:23 PM thats me and im not smoking. I showed it to my mom and she freaked out cause she thought I smoked. It's just the light on my finger. I dont think ive seen anyone holding a cigarette between their pinkie and ring finger. hahaha |

replied on: 3/23/2006 9:40:35 AM I studied the photo after blowing it up, the individual being photographed has the pinky fingers extended even though the other fingers are semi curled, so yeah, no cigarette. From what I can see there was a lens refraction that caused an inverted reflection of the person being photographed. It's a "ghost" reflection of the individual being photographed. I am guessing it was the position of the light at the feet of the subject that caused this phenomenon. Too bad, it would have been a really neat image if it had been a real paranormal phenomenon, but it makes a text book example for camera anomalies. |
