I am 16 years old and I this I have a ghost in my house. Last Halloween my mother committed suicide. It has been a tragic event in not only mine, but my younger brother, younger sister and alot of the rest of the family lives. My life has drastically changed since she died and I miss her dearly. My brother, father and I strongly believe that we have a ghost in our house. I myself think its my mother. Here are some of the reasons as to why we believe that we have a ghost in our house. If anyone can help me after reading this please feel free to email me or respond to this post. My dad's girlfriend has a 6 year old daughter. His girlfriend and her two kids spend the night at least once a week. The girl has been in my kitchen at the dinner table and has watched a glass move from one side of the table to the other without any movement from a person. Weather or not this is true I dont know. But a 6 year old wouldnt just make something like that up. I mean a 13 or 14 year old may, but a 6 year old would not. Last friday I was home alone and I heard footsteps in my basement and in the laundry room and kitchen. When I walked over to those rooms the footsteps stopped. I went back to what I was doing and I heard more noises. I proceeded to the same rooms and the noise stopped. This recurred a few times until the rest of my family came home. I used to have a computer in my bedroom it was about 6 feet away from my bedroom door which was open frequently. I sensed that someone was in my room and I thought my brother snuck down to my room to spook me like he does daily, however when I looked over at the door nothing was there. I didnt think much of it until my brother and I put the other pieces together. Im convinced it was a ghost or spirit. I know its not alot but I have more. Just a few days ago I was lying in my bed about to fall asleep when I swore to god I felt someone next to me and they whispered "AMANDA" in my ear. That was no joke. I seriously think it was a ghost. I told my brother about it and he told me the same thing happened to him. He heard a womens voice but thought maybe it was me or my dad. I was asleep and so was my dad so it was neither of us. Also Ive been getting strange phone calls. The kind with no numbers. Like a blocked call. I say hello several times but no one says anything. On my wireless bill it says incoming but it shows incoming call from my number. Hmm strange. Ive been trying to research ghosts and how you know if you've got one. I found this: Do you hear footsteps throughout the house even when no one else is home? <b>Yes that friday night.</B> Do you frequently have items turn up missing only to reappear later in the same spot that you left them? <b>Yeah a couple things.</b> Have you heard voices that can not be explained? <b>Yes someone calling my name. And my brother the same thing.</b> Do electrical appliances turn on and off by themselves? <b>Nope.</b> Unexplained cold spots? <b>My brother mentioned something like that.There are 2 rooms in the house that are unexplainibly cold.</b> Pets acting strangely, staring and barking at empty spaces? <b>Nope, no pets.</b> Catching glimpses of movement out of the corner of your eye, shadows flitting in and out of your range of vision? <b>ALL THE DAMN TIME. Something will move out of the corner of my eye. Then I will look at it and nothing is there.</b> Overwhelming feelings of being watched or that someone is right behind you? <b>I sense someone is in my room all the time. But no one is there. </B> Objects move by themselves? <b>I never have, but the girl I mentioned says she did.</b> Strong feeling of unease? <b>Hmm Im not sure. </b> Coins, mainly pennies, turning up everywhere? Some people believe spirits use copper pennies to attract attention. And I also found this : We look at the ten key signs that the spooks have moved in! 1. You hear unexplained and strange noises True. 2. Lights go on and off of their own accord False. 3. You feel or see furniture shake False. 4. Items are inexplicably moved around True. 5. You see somebody in your home who shouldn't be there, probably dressed in old-fashioned clothing False. 6. You feel regularly feel exhausted or 'heavy' in your home True. Me my dad and my brother. And alot of people who come to my house. 7. You feel an unexplained pressure or heaviness in your back or kidney area True. I get that alot. Its off I can feel so comfortable then all the sudden get the back pains and kidney pains. 8. There is a radical temperature change in one room of the house True. My room and the room Dads girlfriends kids sleep in. 9. There are certain times of the day which don't 'feel right' in your home True. 10. You feel very uncomfortable in one particular room in the house False. Well I hope someone can help me. Id really love to know what to do. I love my mom.
