Tactical Recon Combat Clan {TRC} Server Rules.

The following are the tactical based rules that {TRC} clan uses.

These rules to be abided by at ALL times.

1. RUNNING -- Running is ONLY allowed in situations of combat where it would be effectively in a real life scenario. These are to include situations: evading enemy fire, evading enemy grenade, crossing open areas that have no cover or concealment, or across bridges or other areas. There is NEVER to be ANY running while inside buildings, down alley ways, in the sewers, in tunnels, or streets of any kind! WALK in these areas because in real life, running through these areas would be unrealistic. In most cases would cause you to get yourself or more importantly, your team exterminated. Walking also is tactical because it silences the sounds of movement, which other tactical based clans KNOW to listen for. Beware the light-hearted who crosses an ambush, running at full speed and giving away himself or team.

2. JUMPING -- Jumping from 2nd story heights or greater, in effect causing yourself to take damage, IS PROHIBITED! This will not be tolerated, we are not members of the "Justice League" or the "Fantastic Four", so no jumping over buildings in a single bound. The ONLY cases where a person could jump from an extreme height would be if there was water below, such as on a bridge or under fire.

3. We do not spawn kill or team kill. All people exhibiting these actions will get a warning. If that person ignores an order, actions will be taken to kick that person from the server, clan member or not. In cases where a clan member is caught engaging in such actions, punitive actions may and /or will result, which could include discharge from the clan.

4. All "newbie weapons" will not be used by this clan, such as: N/A. These are prohibited because it encourages running and gunning.

Respect will be given and afforded to all visitors to our server, and to those that are on a server we play on. If a superior officer/non-commissioned officer gives an order to cease an argument, then listen. Instant obedience to ALL orders. If you disagree with an order, do NOT argue with the person giving it. There is to be no argument on any server. You will bring it up the chain of command and it will be arbitrated. We will NOT tolerate squabbling in this clan. This clan will be run in a militaristic manner. A fair decision will always be reached by the Headquarters element, regarding any disputes between clan members or other clans or public players.

When the Tactical Recon Combat Clan server is up, all rules will be abided by visitors to our clan. People committing infractions will always be warned at least once. If there is a team killer (someone who kills team mates), he will be warned and then kicked if needed.

No cheats or cheating of any kind or form. You will be kicked / Ban for cheats.

There shall NOT be any short burst of running.
There shall NOT be any running back to where you died. Walk!

We will NOT tolerate any running or rules being broke.

Add on:
No attack uncap, No base rap, no attacking uncap means no artillery on uncap.
Failure to follow will get you kicked.
At times {TRC} MAY allow the above as long as it is not out of control.

This is a rather bad rule in my Opinion.

In the army, Soldiers need to run at any given time.

Example 1: If you need to clear a Alley way, squads need to dash through and clear them.

Sewers need to be tactically dealt with. Running in sewer systems cannot really be monitored effectively.

Solution: Make it so that Running is next to granted anywhere, when you are with *your* squad. That way it promotes team play and tactical gaming. Hence to make it more realistic.

Other then my Comments on Rule #1, I don't think it's that bad.

You should post Cheating/Exploiting/Hacks are Rule #1.

Running point A to point B I don't see that as a Problem.

Running to get there faster, that is a bit of a problem if you ask me. That's a lame reason.

As I said, things should be based more on Team play, so If a Commander Issues an order to get there faster, I'd say sure, that's the Commander's call, the Soldier is following orders to get to his post.

Hey, if these rules are still under construction, I have a question. Why not allow JUST artillery on the Uncaps.

This is because, provided that you guys do NOT run a infantry-only server, a commander may wish to call artillery on the location of the enemy air/ground vehicle area. Usually the uncaps have greater amounts of land vehicles, and in most cases are the ONLY location of air vehicles. So if the commander feels his men are not skilled enough to fend off air raids to successfully, then his only plan to help his men may be to prevent aviation through artillery on the uncap airfield.

Then again, if you guys ARE running infantry only, then all of this was useless. I did not see I/O listed anywhere, so I was assuming. Anyways, I hope to get on the server later on today - anyone planning on being on?
